Day 148

We didn't do much at all today.  About the only thing of note was that I cleaned my new purchase.  Other than that we spent most of the day reading.  We did go out to get Mom some soap.  We also took the dog to Circle C.  She did a few retrieves, but not as many as I expected.  Then we went for a walk around the park.  Lucy had a great time sniffing a whole lot of bushes, trees, and weeds.

Day 147

We kind of slept in today.  Actually we woke up early, but stayed in bed surfing.  We got up when Mom did.

We had a leisurely breakfast and read the paper.  Then I got cabin fever.  So we decided to drive up Lamar.  We stopped at the used book store.  Everybody got something.  We got an audio book for traveling.  Ellen got a book on drawing, Mom got a mystery, and I got a zombie book.  The prices were really reasonable.

After that we went to McBride's.  I had been doing some internet research and pretty much knew what I wanted.  I found what I wanted there and bought it.

The dog had gone crazy as we drove by Auditorium Shores.  So we stopped at Circle C on the way back.  She was really happy and did a whole lot of retrieves.

Day 146

They insulated the house today.  They were supposed to come at 8, but they didn't get here until 9:30.  They were fast though.  They were done by 11:30.  Unfortunately as they were leaving they ran over one of thre cow skulls.  It's history.

After lunch we drove to Cabela's.  I really just wanted to put some miles on the car.  It's still breaking in, but it's getting 29 mpg on the second tank.  I managed to get some powder, but their inventory on everything was really depleted.  Of course the dog got a run by the Arby's before we went home.

That was about it.  The rest of the day was spent surfing and watching TV.

Monday, February 25, 2013

Day 145

It was a pretty successful day.  The insulation guy stopped by.  We decided to have the roof insulated.  They had quite a sale going.  Apparently they're going to do it tomorrow.

Then I loaded up the water heater and we went to the recycle center.  It was really satisfying to roll the thing off the tailgate onto the ground.  It was a nice crash.

We went over to the galleria.  We stopped at Barnes and Noble and Mom bought a book.  We walked down to the dog store, but it wasn't pleasant.  It was sunny, but only sixty.  A 25 mph wind made it unpleasant.  We sure weren't going to eat outside with the dog.

So we drove back in to eat at Cheddar's.  The wind was really gusty.  Driving down Mopac we saw where two power poles had been blown down just north of Randall's.  Lunch was really good.  Aftwards we went over to the insurance agent to sign some papers.  Then we went across the street and bought some groceries.

On the way back we stopped at Circle C.  With the wind I could throw the bumper a very long way.  Lucy did a good number of retrieves.

When we got back I took a nap.  I don't know what everyone else did.

Sunday, February 24, 2013

Day 144

Today was more or less a doggy day.  We got up early, but mother stayed in bed to about 10.  That was OK, we had time to read the Sunday paper.  When we did get going we went out to do some errands.  Mom bought me a clock, but its mechanism was busted.  So we went out to get a new one and some pet supplies.

The weather was great - sunny and 60 with some wind.  We stopped at Circle C first and ran the dog.  She did a fair number of retrieves.  Then we walked over to the fields and watched some kids play.  They were fairly young, but played really well.  Finally we walked a truncated route around the path by Escarpment.

After that we went looking for drawstring cat box liners.  Tomlinson's didn't have them.  So we went to Fireman's for lunch.  Then we went to the pet store next door.  They didn't have them.  So then we went to Petco.  They had them.   Finally we went to Michael's and got a new clock movement.  With a half off coupon it was only $5.

After that it was home to read and watch TV.

Day 143

I woke up early and played games in bed again.  This could get addictive.  After breakfast I decided that I had better attend to the fence.  It was not a pleasant task.  I spent several hours walking along all of the fence on the property cutting branches.  There was one place in the corner where I had to spend a lot of time cutting several trees that were growing through the fence.  By the time I was finished I was pretty cut up.

There were two places where trees were on the fence.  I had to cut large branches to clear it.  It was a pain in the ass to do with the piece of shit Chinese saw I had.

When I was finished I had to take a shower.  I had twigs in my hair and all down my shirt.  I was also sweaty and dirty.

After that it was a quick lunch and off to pick up Mom.  It was the standard park and wait.  Fortunately there was a place to run the dog.  She had a blast.

We just went home and watched TV.

Day 142

I got up at 7 today.  I'm liking this getting up earlier in the morning.  I did surfing in bed, and then got up.  After breakfast I did a couple of small jobs like putting the backseat cover in the car and cutting up the cardboard in the recycle can.

Then it was time to go estate saling.  We stopped at the post office first - no package.  Then we stopped at Red's to see about a carry piece.  No luck.  Then it was off to a place near there.  Nothing that we thought we needed.  The second place was up above 2222 off 360.  It had nice stuff, but again nothing we wanted except a small bag of sewing supplies.

The dog was making noises signifying that she really wanted to do something.  So on the way back we stopped at Zilker.  Lucy did a whole lot of retrieves.  She also had a good opportunity to socialize.  We let her run until she was too tired to do it any more.

On the way home we stopped for errands.  We stopped at Academy - nothing interesting in stock.  We stopped at Randall's for groceries.  We also stopped at Starbucks to support them.  Finally we stopped at Costco so that I could get some pills.

After we got home we surfed and read for the rest of the day.

Thursday, February 21, 2013

Day 141

We went to the CHL class today.  It was a lot of fun.  The people at our table were a good group to talk with and the class provided a lot of time for socializing.  I missed 1 point at the range and none on the test.  Ellen missed 5 points on the range and two on the tests.  We both passed.  Ellen applied today, I'm going to wait until my birthday.

We didn't get home until 7:00.  The dog was locked up for 12 hours.  When we got home she didn't wanrt to go out.  That dog has a cast iron bladder.

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

Day 140

It was raining lightly we we got up.  It continued to do so for all of the day.

I decided to do a little bit of work mixed with play.  I put the license place frames on the new car.  That was more work than it sounds.  None of the bolts fit the frames.  I had to grind the front ones to reduce the diameter of the heads.  I had to cut off two captured washers on each of the back bolts.  The frames were really tarnished, but a wipe down with CLP cleaned them right up.

After that I decided to do some more work in the train building that I've been building.  I also repaired the crane that was broken a couple of weeks ago.  I only put a couple of pieces of the building together before I decided to hang up the new train display case instead.  That took quite awhile as I had to relocate on current picture.  Then I filled up the case.  That took extra time because I had to repair 2 or 3 of the cars.

I received emails about the class tomorrow including the laws they will cover.  It was 63 pages of mind numbing legalese that I read through.  It wasn't fun, and a couple of places didn't seem to be written in English.

The dog wanted to do something all day.  She didn't realize it was raining.  I walked her to the mailbox.  That gave her a little run and convinced her that outside wasn't that much fun today.

Tuesday, February 19, 2013

Day 139

Today was a really weird day.  We got up early (practicing for Thursday).  I cleaned up after our trip to the range.

Then we drove over to the Post Office.  Dan's package wasn't there.  I bet it was never shipped.  Then we went over to have the oil changed.  Somehow we got looking at this year's Sonatas.  They are essentially the same as ours, but with a few new nice things like sound proofing, better stereo, compass, and auto headlights.  One thing led to another and we ended up talking price.

We spent hours (literally) talking with them.  They finally gave us a really good deal.  It was several thousand off the list price and a very high trade in value.  The bottom line is that we went in to get an oil change and left with a new car.  Oh well.

We got to the dealership at 10:30 and didn't leave until 4:00.  We stopped for lunch/dinner and then went to Circle C to run the dog.  I was disappointed.  She only ran for about 10 minutes before quitting.  It wasn't hot or anything.

After that it was home to TV and surfing.

Monday, February 18, 2013

Day 138

We got up at 6:15 so that we could see Dan and Patsy off.  I can't believe that I spent a large portion of my life getting up that early so that I couid go to work.  Especially when lots of the time I hated what I was doing.

I don't know how he did it, but Dan actually got Patsy going and they left before 7:00.

After breakfast we went to the range.  Both of us practiced the qualification course and both of us scored high enough to pass.  The range had Pmags in stock at a reasonable price.  Maybe things will get back to normal eventually.   Even though we were there shortly after they opened we had to wait.  It's a holiday.  That fact was a pain in the ass all day because everything was crowded.

After that we went to get me a haircut.  I really needed it.  Then it was over to Home Depot for 720 lbs of sand for the driveway.  I'm too old to load a dozen 60 lb sacks on a gurney and then onto the truck.

On the way home we stopped at P. Terry's for lunch and HEB for milk.  Both places were crowded.

It had been cloudy and cool all morning, but it was sunny and 75 by the time we got home.  I decided to spread out the sand anyway.  Ellen raked again.  By the time we were finished I was hot and tired.

I went inside, sat down, and fell asleep.  I'm not sure how long I was asleep, but it was at least two hours.  I had promised Lucy I'd take her to the park, but I just wasn't up to it.  So I walked her up to the mailbox even though I knew there wasn't any mail.  At least she got a little fun.  She'll get more tomorrow.

Sunday, February 17, 2013

Day 137

Dan spent most of the day getting ready to leave.  He started out by washing his car.  I don't see why.  The next people to see it that might care will see it at the end of a 1500 mile drive through really dusty, and dirty territory.  Then I realized he just likes cleaning things.

While he was cleaning I changed out the Sherwood receiver in the garage for the Yamaha one.  I've been meaning to do that for a long time, I just had never felt like dealing with it.  I also washed the insides of the windows in the car.  They were really bad.

After that we went out for errands and brunch.  We stopped by the Post Office, but Dan's package wasn't there.  We'll have to Fed Ex it to them.  Then we went to Wally World so they could get some last minute things.  We got a couple, too.

We went to Trudy's for their brunch.  I think they liked the food.  Of course they'd say so even if they didn't.

When we got back Dan insisted on washing the car.  Again I just had to realize that it's entertainment for him.  After he washed it, Ellen and I waxed it.

We went into the house while they packed.  They got everything packed up and then cleaned up the whole apartment.  I think it's cleaner than it was when I got through getting it ready for them.

They were done in time to watch Killing Lincoln.  I hope Dan still reads the book.  The movie ended at 9:00 and then they went over to get to bed.  Dan plan's on getting out of here by 7:00.  I hope he does.  We're going to get up to see them off.

Saturday, February 16, 2013

Day 136

We got up fairly early today and headed for Fredericksburg.  We got there just before Patsy's relatives did.  We met at a restaurant and had lunch before doing anything else.  Then the women went off to shop and the men went to the museum.  The museum is a lot bigger than it used to be.  Dan and I quickly lost track of the other guys.  We spent over two hours in there and may got through a third or half of it.

After that we went back to the same restaurant and sat in the bar area.  Dan and Patsy had a good visit with the relatives.  I had to sit over at one end where I couldn't hear.  So I went to sleep.

About 3:45 the party broke up.  There were having the market days so we stopped there on the way back.  It was getting near closing time so we didn't get to see everything.  I think Patsy did have some fun though.

I was amazed.  Over the whole day we didn't bring home any significant purchases.

When we got home we had a light dinner - crackers and cheese.  No one felt like a big dinner.  Then we watched a movie and went to bed early.  I think everyone was tired.

Friday, February 15, 2013

Day 135

We had breakfast and just hung around in the morning talking, reading the paper and surfing.  When we left we stopped at the Post Office first.  Dan's wrench wasn't there.  The Post Office screws up again.  Then we went to the movie.  It was fun having lunch there while watching the movie.  The movie itself was by far the worst Die Hard movie.  They didn't even say Yippee Ky Yeh.

After the movie we went over to Kohl's so Patsy could buy some pants.  It took her over an hour to find a pair she liked.  Dan and I just sat around waiting and bullshitting.

After that it was home for surfing before dinner.  Dan and Patsy went to the apartment just to rest up.  After dinner we watched Fox news for about two hours.  They actually had some black neurosurgeon on that was a pretty straight thinking guy.  They were talking about him running for office, but he'd never make it.  His ideas are much too intelligent.

We watched a movie after that and then it was time for bed.  Tomorrow is a trip to Fredericksburg, so we have to get an early start.

Thursday, February 14, 2013

Day 134

We went estate saleing in Wimberley today.  Even though we got there only a couple of hours after it opened the main thing we wanted, a table, was sold.  We bought a couple of small items.  Patsy did too, which didn't please Dan.

Then we went into town so Patsy could look at all of the stores.  She bought some more stuff, and Dan got bored out of his skull.  It was sunny and 70, so he could sit outside of the shops in their chairs ans soak up the sun.  We say a table at a furniture store that we might buy.

On the way out of town we stopped a a bakery and got some really good German pastry.  We also stopped at another garage sale and Patsy bought more stuff.

We went home via Dripping Springs so that we could pick up a few items at HEB.  In the parking lot we saw a Shelby Cobra replica, a Ferrari, and a beautiful 41 Cadillac.

When we got home we all set out in the sun on the deck.  I replaced the net on the basketball hoop.  I also measured and found that the basket is 9 foot high instead of 10 like it should be.  A little later Dan wen tout to shoot baskets.  I surfed.

I think we'll watch a movie at home tonight.  Tomorrow we'll eat lunch at the Drafthouse and watch Die Hard.

Day 133

We took Dan and Patsy over to Zilker park today.  It wasn't as successful as it could have been.  Lady Bud refused to walk on a lead.  She also wasn't very comfortable around the other dogs.  Of course Lucy had a great time swimming.

When Lucy got tired we walked across the river.  Again their dogs weren't comfortable because of the leads and the cars.  We walked over to Congress so that Patsy could take a picture of the Capitol.  Then we walked back over the bridge and showed them the bat exhibit.  At least Dan enjoyed that.

On the way home we frove back down to Cabela's so Dan could buy some more fishing stuff.  When we got home Dan and I started shooting baskets again.  After awhile Ellen and Patsy joined us and we played horse.

After dinner we went over to the Alamo Drafthouse to watch Zero Dark Thirty.  That place is really cool.  The movie was pretty good, too.  We're going to see Diehard their on Friday and eat lunch.

We go home after 9 and I turned on the TV so they could watch Fox News for awhile.  I don't know how they can stand listening to those idiots.

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Day 132

After we all had breakfast Ellen and Patsy went off in the morning to get their hair done.  While they were gone Dan did some cleaning and I did some surfing.  We got together agian and sat in the warm sun and bull shitted.  After awhile we ran out of that and took the dogs up to the mailbox.

When we got back we decided to shoot buckets on the basketball court.  We had fun doing things like shooting by throwing the ball backwards while facing away from the basket.  We were still playing when they got back.  It took them about 3.5 hours.

After lunch we went to the sporting goods store in Bee Cave.  They have some really nice stuff.  They also had a good selection.  That's probably because their prices are pretty high.  They did have some sale items.
Dan and Patsy bought some clothes and Ellen bought a shirt.  I didn't get anything.

Finally we went out to Lakeway to get some oil filters for Dan's boat.  We also stopped at HEB and got stuff for dinner.

After dinner we watched a movie and then caught the end of Obama's state of the union speech.  He's a fucking idiot.  Now we're watching the post speech analysis.  It all makes me sick.

Monday, February 11, 2013

Day 131

It was raining pretty good this morning.  So after breakfast Dan and I removed the old water heater.  It was a little awkward, but not difficult with two people.  We went over to the post office and then Costco to pick up drinks, shrimp, and a chocolate cake.

Then we went over to Home Depot and bought a water heater.  It was just about a direct replacement for the old one.  On the way back we stopped at Chick-fil-a.  It was we first time Ellen and I had eaten there.  It was really pretty good.

Back at home we put in the new heater.  It went in with almost no drama.  They now have hot water.

I gave Patsy a walking tour of the place and then we talked until it was time for dinner with Bill and Shana. We went to a mexican place on south Lamar.  We had a great time talking with them.  After that we came home and watched a movie.

Sunday, February 10, 2013

Day 130

Dana and Patsy came in about 9:30.  They decided to stay in the apartment.  I turned on the hot water for them and the heater started to leak.  We ended up stay up late to drain the heater.  They have to take showers in the house.

Patsy didn't get going until 11:30.  We had a leisurely breakfast and then decided to go to lunch at the salt lick about 2:00.  It was packed, with an hour long wait.  So we drove over to Cabela's and had lunch at Logan's Roadhouse.

After that we went to Cabela's and spent a couple of housr looking at fish and fishing gear.  I think Dan had a good time.  He bought some fish hooks he wanted at a really good sale price.

We went home and didn't do much of anything until dinner time.  Ellen fixed Dan curry.  Patsy and I ate leftovers from the Roadhouse.

We watched Killer Elite and Spartacus and then it was time for bed.  I'm going to see if it's feasible for Dan and I to replace the heater tomorrow.

Saturday, February 9, 2013

Day 129

We went to the gun show today.  The reload guy had already sold my stuff, but he raided someone else's  order so I could get my stuff.  We walked around the place and looked at stuff.  There seemed to be plenty of inventory.  The prices ranged from high to you have to be kidding me.  That was for both guns and ammo.

After the show we went over to a Japanese grocery store.  Ellen had a gift certificate and we spent it on different food stuffs.  We drove in on Burnett because we hadn't done that before.  We were hungry, so we stopped at a "draught house".  We would have stayed, but the place just served beer, no food.  They had about 30 or 40 great beers on tap though.

We ate at a place on 38th.  It had pretty good food.

We drove back on Mopac.  It was raining pretty good by then and the roads were wet.  The Texan idiots decided this meant that they had to slow down to 30 on the freeway.  We finally got to Randall's where we picked up some stuff for "real" meals.

Dan and Patsy are still on the road.  I don't expect them for another couple of hours.  They said it's really windy and hard to drive.

Friday, February 8, 2013

Day 128

We went to Wimberley to go estate saleing today.  There were 3 place in Wimberley and one in Driftwood, so it was worth the trip.

The Driftwood place was well off the beaten path.  It was a little house with not much of interest.  However they did have a nice, big, microwave for $20.  So I got it for the apartment.  We also got some hand painted wall plates.

Two of the places in Wimberley were actually businesses.  I'm not sure how I got the idea that they were estate sales.  Some people are a little tricky in how they write their ads.  One of the places was nothing but junk.  The other had some neat stuff, but nothing that we needed.  The last place was actually an estate sale.  I picked up a golf ball display and Ellen got a Road Runner print.  Apparently we missed some nice road runner stuff because they started the sale yesterday.

We went home via San Marcos.  We stopped at a restaurant down RR12 that we always wanted to stop at when we were looking at houses.  It was a nice mexican place.  We ate outside with Lucy.  She sat on a platform next to the table that essentially put her at the same position as if she was setting in a chair.  She never tried to eat our food.  Few dogs are that well behaved.

On the way back we stopped at Cabela's . They have restocked their guns.  It's at maybe 80% of normal.  They still don't have any ammo or reloading stuff.

When we got home I decided to get some small chores done.  Ellen and I spread the sand.  I shoveled and she raked.  It was amazing.  I would throw a shovel full of sand onto the gravel and it would literally disappear into the gravel.  We're going to need a whole lot more sand.

I then taped up the flamingo and Ellen painted it.  She used both shades of pink and it came out nice.  Finally I installed the track in the golf ball display I bought.

Apparently buying the microwave insured that Hooch isn't coming.  He's putting Mom on a plane at the end of the month and then they are going to Sun River.  Oh well.

Thursday, February 7, 2013

Day 127

Today was a dog day.  We woke up early, but got up late.  Both of use turned over and went back to sleep.

When we did get started we took Lucy over to a dog park north of Austin on the river.  The park is really an island.  There were plenty of places for Lucy to swim.  There were lots of dogs - and a lot of squirrels.

Lucy did a whole lot of water retrieves.  I didn't even bother to count.  Water retrieves were good - it was 85 degrees, a new record high.  Then we walked her around the island to dry off.  She met a lot of dogs along the way and got to chase some squirrels.  The squirrels are really used to dogs.  They run up a tree, wait for the dog to leave, and then come back down.

At the end of the island Lucy did something I'd never seen her do before.  She jumped into the water on her own.  Unfortunately she chose a place where she couldn't get out.  I had to reach down, grab her collar, and help her out.  We walked a little to a place with some steep stone steps down to the water.  She did about a half dozen short water retrieves.  We stopped when she couldn't climb the steps out of the water.  I had to help her again.

We walked back towards the parking lot.  Lucy was still wanting to do something, so we sat while she chased squirrels.  Then I threw the bumper another 8 times and we called it quits.

On the way back we stopped at a bagel place for lunch.  Lucy got to be with us outside while we ate.  The last stop was Home Depot where we bought 5 bags of sand.  I'm going to put them on the driveway tomorrow morning when it's cool.

Wednesday, February 6, 2013

Day 126

It rained last night and it was still raining a little in the morning.  So we spent a lot of the morning today in the bed surfing and playing games.

When we did get up I just did some more surfing.  I decided to look for cheap books on tape.  I found a place that had some really good prices.  I ordered several because they were pretty cheap.  Then when I went to check out I found that the shipping charges were more than 50% of the cost of the books.  I still bought them though because they were all books that I think we'll enjoy.

It cleared up, and warmed up, a lot in the afternoon.  The dog was getting antsy and we needed to walk.  So we took her over to Circle-C.  She wouldn't do any retrieves.  We walked around the park any way.

That was pretty much the whole day.

Tuesday, February 5, 2013

Day 125

It was clean the house day.  Ellen did the vacuuming and I did the dusting/cleaning.  It took several hours.  The place is looking pretty good though.  I put away all of the train stuff in the second bedroom and got it ready for someone to stay in.

After that we were both kind of tired.  We had a late lunch and did some surfing.  I signed us up for the class at the end of the month.  It's going to be a long day - 8 until 6:30.

We didn't go get the mail yesterday, so we went out to get it and some milk.  We also stopped at Circle-C because the dog didn't run yesterday.  She did a whole lot of retrieves today.  It was 80 degrees, but there was cloud cover.  We would have done some walking except that we had groceries in the trunk.

Monday, February 4, 2013

Day 124

I went out to the apartment and cleaned it up today.  I spent about 2 hours vacuuming and dusting.  I also scrubbed the sink.  It sure needs to be replaced.

I came back in and sat down for a minute.  I fell asleep and didn't get up until the dog woke me up 2 hours later.  I had some lunch and Ellen turned on a zombie movie.  Then it was time to get the mail.  We had some tax info that should have gone to the PO box.

That was it.  I was going to put away the rest of the train stuff, but I just didn't get around to it.

Sunday, February 3, 2013

Day 123

We decided to entertain the dog some more today.  So we went over to Circle C.  She did about three retrieves and then refused to do anymore.  I was kind of pissed off.  So I put her on a lead and we went to watch the soccer rugrats.  It seemed to be girls day.  There weren't any boys games.  Some of the girl teams were really good.

After watching for quite some time we walked around the park.  I relented and let Lucy off lead.  When we got back to the car we went to Home Depot and I bought a dimmer switch for the kitchen.  Maybe I'll install it tomorrow.  After that we went over to Fireman's for lunch.  I had a craving for one of their sandwiches.  We bought Lucy a cookie at the pet shop next door and ourselves some cookies at the Girl Scout stand outside.

The final stop was Randall's because they had cereal on sale.

Right now I'm watching the Super Bowl.  The Ravens are trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Saturday, February 2, 2013

Day 122

We spent the morning not doing much.  I started to clean up the apartment a little, but I didn't do  much.

In the afternoon we went to the dog thing over near the Y.  They had a bunch of vendor exhibits and a lot of dog training stuff.  The place is a dog training facility and they had obedience, agility, and other training courses set up.  People from the facility were demonstrating the different courses.

There was also a roach coach and a band.  The band played for 5 hours straight.  I don't think they ever took a break.  They were pretty good, too.

Lucy had a great time.  Ellen took her through several of the courses and she got a lot of treats.  Unfortunately they wouldn't let the dogs interact.  You had to keep 10 feet from another dog.  Lucy was really disappointed.

We spent almost 4 hours there.  On the way back we stopped at Sonic and had half price hot dogs.  Lucy got a few pieces of hot dog, too.

Friday, February 1, 2013

Day 121

We went to an estate sale today.  It was at a yuppie castle by the river near 360.  The place had a whole lot of good stuff, but nothing that we were interested in.  One odd ting was that they had three rooms (the house was huge) full of little girl stuff.  Lots of toy and lots of clothes.  That's odd for an estate sale.

Because we were so close to the river we went to the restaurant on the river for lunch.  Lucy had a good time.  They brought her some water and she got parts of Ellen's hamburger and my french fries.  It was a nice warm day, probably near 70.

On the way back we stopped at the park under the 360 bridge to run the dog.  She did only a few retrieves before quitting.  That was odd given the amount of whining she'd been doing all trip long.  When she was finished I put her on a lead and we walked down to the river.  Some guy came by and told us we'd have to pay if we walked in the park.  It was $3 apiece.  I just told him we'd leave.  $6 to walk in a 2 acre park is bullshit.

I took the case back to Academy on the way back.  Of course they didn't have a right size one.  Then we just went home and surfed the afternoon away.  It was a little too warm to spread any more gravel.  Besides, driving the car over what we'd spread showed that it's going to shift as it's packed down.  I want to get that area stable before I spread any more.

Day 120

Today was a lazy day.  So lazy in fact that I forgot to do an entry.

I wasn't all that sore this morning, but I was a little.  So I decided to build on the model instead of hauling rock.  I put the windows in and built the shed.  The next step will be either the building or the loading/unloading area.  I basically worked until I didn't feel like it anymore.

Most of the rest of the day was spent surfing.  The dog was really disappointed that we didn't go anywhere.  I did find one estate sale to go to tomorrow.

Called mother in the evening.  She seems to be doing OK.  Hooch has obviously been bugging her about getting out and socializing.  She had her answers down pat when I asked the same thing.
