Day 3512

I woke up at 7, played games, got up, fed the cats, and then took Abby for a walk.  Ellen came along.

When we got back I had breakfast and loaded the shooting stuff into the car.  Then we went to TCGC.  We got there before Hooch, which gave me enough time to convert the old target keys to a new target card.  The keys had a total of 1984 targets on them.  The Ray guy wasn't there, so we started to shoot.  He showed up later and I set up having the PPQ shipped in the fall.

Some of the practice target that Reggie had set up were VERY hard.  In addition I shot like shit.  All in all I didn't have fun except it was good to shoot with Hooch.

When we got done we ate at Wanker's corner.  I5 traffic was slow to past Wilsonville.  After lunch it was even slower - in both directions.  I was only a little after 2.  I'd gotten a text that my new watch had been delivered while we were at lunch.  We stopped at the clubhouse to pick it up.  It's nice, but unfortunately they sent me a silver one instead of a black one.  I'm going to keep it though.

I should have ordered a watchband for it last week before they started shipping.  The lead time for them is 2 to 3 weeks.  I had to order special mounts along with the band - $19 for everything.

I spent some time setting up my watch.  It was fairly simple though because Samsung has a data transfer for watches just like they have for watches.  When I was done I watched videos until dinner - something frozen.  Then I went outside and replaced the wooden stand for the dog ash with a metal one I'd ordered.  It makes the whole assembly a lot easier to carry.

After that I went back inside to watch Gutfeld.  The rest of the night was surfing.

Day 3511

I woke up a little before 8 and played games for a while.  Then it was up to feed the cats and take Abby for a walk.  Ellen went with us.  Abby was having one of her run fast and all the way days.

When we got hoe I had breakfast and then loaded the garbage into the car.  I also loaded the guns.  We duped the garbage at the dumpster and then went over to shoot Helice.  I shot the first round well, and screwed up the next two.  After that we had to get back to set up for the sewer guy.

I got everything ready for the sewer guy and then went inside for lunch and some Aliexpress shopping.  I was buying parts for the TT-02 that is in the closet in Texas.  I have to build it when I get back.  I was doing the shopping more for the enjoyment than the identification of stuff for the TT-02.

When that was done I started watching videos.  I kept falling asleep, waking up, watching, and falling asleep again.  That lasted until dinner time.

I cleaned out the refrigerator for dinner.  If it was in a partially full container I ate it.  The refrigerator is now a lot more empty.

I went back to videos for most of the evening before switching to surfing when I got bored.

Day 3510

I woke up at 7, played games, and then got up to take Abby for a walk.  Ellen stayed to feed the cats and load up the laundry.  When I got back I had breakfast and then we left for the laundromat.

When the wash was finished we stopped at Safeway for a few things and Wells Cargo for some money.  We also stopped at Dutch Bros because I was Jonesing for some coffee.  I wanted it because I've been feeling run down the last few days.

When we got home I took the cable mounts I got yesterday outside and routed the cables for both the Audi and the truck.  I think the results are pretty nice.  I wanted to work on the micro-b, but it was getting pretty warm.  Eventually it got above 90.  I went inside again and watched videos.

After lunch I watched more videos and had a nap.  I also texted Hooch to see if he wanted to meet us at TCGC on Thursday.  He said he would.

Ellen fixed fish and corn on the cob for dinner.  The news said that there was a big earthquake in Russia that was expected to produce tidal waves on the west coast.  They are supposed to hit a little before midnight.  I may stay up to watch TV.

We're missing Gutfeld again.  I'm afraid we won't be watching him any more because YoyTube has blocked the live streamers.

Day 3509

I woke up at 7 and played games for a long while.  Ellen got up before me, took Abby for a walk, and fed the cats.  When I got up I had breakfast and then loaded the shooting stuff into the truck.  Then we left for TCGC.

When we got to the club it was pretty vacant.  A lot of the stuff from the membership day was still set up.  Basically the trip was a cluster fuck.  The Rusty guy that I was supposed to see "might be here after 12".   We couldn't shoot because the woman who was supposed to convert our keys to cards had apparently decided to take the day off.  I got disgusted and we left.

I stopped for fuel and some groceries on the way back.  We had lunch when we got back.  I watched a few videos and fell asleep several times.  Finally I went to the bedroom to lay down.  I was really tired for some reason.

When I got up it was time to feed the cats.  I watched some more videos and then had Ramen for dinner.  After dinner I watched an old movie, Zardoz.  I'd forgotten how weird it was.

Day 3508

I woke up at 7, played games, and then got up to take Abby for a walk.  Ellen came along.  It was only 60 degrees, and Abby put on her usual energetic performance.

When we got back I fed the cats, had breakfast, and went to the shed to work on the micro-b.  It took a long time to figure out how to mount the electronics.  The biggest problem was securing the receiver.  It has a very odd shape.  I had to build a mount out of foam and sticky tape to secure it.  The result of all the work fits well.

The final thing to do is to program the car.  I just didn't feel like doing it today.  It's probably the thing I hate most about building a new car.

I went back inside, surfed for a while and then had a leftover sandwich for lunch.  The refrigerator is packed with leftovers that we've brought home over the last few days.  Abby was very stinky, so we gave her a bath.  Then I watched videos that changed into a nap.

I was woken up by a phone call.  It turns out that I won a gun at the club member appreciation day.  It's a 9mm PPQ.  I already have a .45 PPQ.  I really like that pistol, but like a whole lot of my collection I haven't shot it much.  I'll have to go to TCGC tomorrow to arrange getting it sent to Texas when I get back.

I fed the cats and then at leftover pancakes and bacon for dinner.  There's still several leftover boxes in the refrigerator.  Then I went back to watching videos.

Eventually I got bored with videos, did a little surfing, and then went to bed

Day 3507

I woke up at 7:30, played games for a while, and then got up to take Abby for a walk.  Ellen stayed home to feed the cats.  When we got back I had breakfast and surfed until it was time to go to TCGC.

We got to TCGC about 10:30.  There was quite a group of vendors - safes, UTV's, gun training, holsters, optics, and others.  We signed up for some gun insurance.  There was a pellet gun range for kids and they were doing demo shotgun on the skeet fields.  I tried throwing axes.  I couldn't even get it to stick.

We left about noon and ate at a Jimmy John's in Sherwood.  Their sandwiches are very good.  Then we went to john and Patty's.

We sat outside for the whole afternoon and evening.  It was a little cool, but nice.  Abby was very good and the dogs got along well.  We spent the whole time talking about random things like we usually do.  John and Patty are going to pick up a new car tomorrow.  We have to come back soon to see it.

We left about 8.  I was getting tired and wanted to get home.  When we got home we fed the cats, watched videos for a little while, and then went to bed.

Day 3506

I woke up about 7:30, played games, and then got up to feed the cats.  After that Ellen and I took the dog on a walk.  Abby was supercharged, running all over the entire time.

When we got back I had breakfast.  I should have gone to the shed to work on the micro-b, but somehow that didn't happen.  Instead I looked into installing the hydraulic piston on the truck tailgate.  Before I opened the package I decided to verify that it would help lift the gate.  It turns out it won't.  So instead of installing it, I got on Amazon for a return.

I went back to surfing because I didn't feel like working on the micro-b.  Ellen did some painting on the 6x6 body and then watched a chick flick.  A little after noon we left to turn in the piston at Staples.  Then it was lunch in Brooks.  It was a little expensive, but they gave you enough food for two meals.  The food was very good, too.

When we got back I went back to surfing and Ellen went back to chick flicks.  I got sick of surfing and went to lay down on the bed and play games.  I was feeling a little under the weather.

Dinner was fruit and potato chips.  After dinner was some videos and then surfing.

Day 3505

I woke up at 6:30 and couldn't go back to sleep.  I played games for a while and then got up to feed the cats and take Abby for a walk.  This time Ellen came along.

We had a good 2 mile walk.  The temp was a little warmer today, but not enough to slow Abby down.  I had breakfast when we got back.  After that I went to the shed to do RC stuff.

I started by putting the motor on the 6x6.  It wasn't all that hard.  Unfortunately I missed the instruction on how to position the pinion gear.  I ended up having to do the install twice.  Then I put the 6x6 stuff away and got out the micro-b stuff.

I started by putting the last metal pieces on the front suspension.  It wasn't a hard job, but the number of small parts that had to be dealt with made it a slow one.  Then I tackled installing the electronics.  I messed around for a while fitting the new body.  It required some shimming.  Then I put heat shrink on the receiver to insulated it when I mounted.  Finally I spent a lot of time figuring out how to place things.  It would have been easier if the body wasn't masked.  That made it hard to see how things were fitting.  I finally got the receiver where I wanted it while leaving room for the ESC.

By then I was tired of working on it and it was getting near lunch time.  I went back to the trailer and asked Ellen to give me a much needed haircut.  When that was done we took Abby with us to the Hubbard hamburger place.  It was very good and has outside seating.  Well be back.

We stopped at the club on the way back to buy more Helice ammo.  They were setting up the Helice for a corporate thing.  We decided to shoot, too.  It turns out that the corporate guys never showed up.  We had fun shooting with a couple of the regulars anyway.

After that it was video time.  Dinner was frozen pizza.

After dinner we tried to watch Gutfeld on YouTube.  Apparently Fox has had them block it.  We ended up paying $5/month to watch it.

The evening ended up with surfing.

Wednesday, July 23, 2025

Day 3504

I woke up at 7:30, played games, and then took the dog for a walk.  Ellen fed the cats while I was gone.  After breakfast we got the shooting stuff out and went to shoot Helice.

I did slightly better than last time.  Ellen did pretty good also.  We each shot 3 rounds.  That's about as much as I want to shoot at one time.  We bought another $130 card.  It's hideously expensive, but I'm getting used to it.

When I got out my shooting bag I discovered that I'd lost the club shoot card.  Fortunately someone had turned it in.  I haven't checked to see if there are any targets left on it.

It was noon when we were back in the trailer with everything put away.  We sat down for videos and I quickly fell asleep.  I slept until almost 2 and then had a sandwich for lunch.  After that it was more videos until dinner.

Ellen fixed corn on the grill with the leftover tuna.  The tuna was just as good as when she cooked it.

After dinner was the usual videos followed by surfing.

Tuesday, July 22, 2025

Day 3503

I woke up at 7:30 and got up to take the dog for a walk.  Ellen did the pet stuff and loaded the car while we were gone.  It was 68 degrees this morning and Abby was supercharged.  She ran miles and wasn't overly tired when we were done.  I ate breakfast when I got back and then we left for the laundromat.

After the laundry we stopped at Safeway for groceries and Bauman's for some fruit and vegetables.   Finally a short stop at the post office and back home.

After unloading everything I went out to the shed to continue work on the 6x6.  I completed greasing and installing the gears (all 12 of them).  Then I assembled the frame. That took a lot of time.  I put a few external parts on the frame and then went inside for a late lunch.

After lunch I did a little video watching which turned into a lot of surfing.  Dinner was fruit slices from the package we bought last week.

The evening was a little video watching and more surfing.

Ellen finished with the masking of the micro-b body today.  That means that I can complete it's construction.  I'll probably install the motor on the the 6x6 tomorrow and then get back to working on the micro-b.

Monday, July 21, 2025

Day 3502

I woke up at 7:30, played games, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that I took the dog for a walk.  It was cool this morning and there aren't any people.  It was a nice longer walk, but we didn't go through the fields because they were wet from last night's rain.

When I got back we left for errands.  We stopped at CVS to renew a prescription.  For some reason they won't text me when a renewal is due.  I had to wait an hour for it to be filled.  We went to Lowes for a new Homer bucket and the pet store for cat food.  We still had time to wait, so we ate an early lunch at hops and Drops.

The drugs were ready by the time we were done.  We picked the up, stopped at the post office, and went home.  We watched videos for a while and I had a nap.  Then we gave the dog a bath.  She's still refusing to eat in the morning.  Today she didn't eat breakfast until mid afternoon.

I went to the shed and started work on the 6x6.  I was making pretty good progress until I got into along confusion about the bearings I bought.  The instructions say that there are 5 kinds of bearings.  There are really only 4, but it took me a long time to figure it out. Tamiya wins for the most confusing instructions ever.

I worked until Ellen had dinner ready.  She cooked the tuna we bought on the grill.  It was fantastic.  I'd found a recipe on the web and it was perfect.

After dinner we watched a few videos and then I switched to surfing while Ellen watched a chick flick.

Day 3501

I woke up at 7:30, played games for a while, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that I got the stuff ready to shoot.  That process took longer then usual because I had three bouts of diarrhea in 90 minutes.  I felt very bad.

We shot with Gerry and Garret, so I put the ammo in Gerry's cart so I wouldn't have to haul our cart.  I had to walk and was really dragging my ass.  At one point a lady we were shooting with insisted that I use her cart for a couple of stations.  I didn't object.  Needless to say, I didn't shoot well.  The weather was nice though.  It was overcast and low 70's.

When we were finished I didn't feel like lunch.  I did feel like Dutch Bros.  We went to the one in Salem with the indoor seating.  The coffee and pastry made me feel a lot better.  We stopped at Roth's on the way back for bananas and OJ.  We only got the bananas because the OJ was way too expensive.

I started watching videos for the rest of the afternoon.  I just didn't feel like anything else.

I had leftover pancakes and ham for dinner.

After dinner I got bored with videos and finished gluing the 6x6 wheels.  Then I spent the rest of the evening on Aliexpress.

Day 3500

I woke up at 7:45 and got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After a little surfing we left for Hooch's.  He didn't want us to get there until 11, so we had time to do some other things.

We mad great time going North.  It only took 20 minutes to get from the trailer to Wilsonville.  We stopped at Costco for some water.  That's where I learned that Costco no longer bakes the rolls I like.  Crap.

The Costco stop didn't take long, so we decided to go to Tammies.  We didn't get there though.  We ended up getting some bagels and cat food at Mud Bay.  We also stopped at another Mud Bay and the independent pet store as we went to Hooch's.  Neither had what we wanted.

We got to Hooch's about 11.  He loaded up his dogs and we drove to the dog park.  Abby and Rico had a great tie playing chase, both with themselves and other dogs.  It was a relatively cool morning, so they ran for quite a while.  When they got hot and tired we went to the Mad Greek's.

The food at the Mad Greek's was good, but the service was slow.  It was very busy and we had a nice place outside in the shade with the dogs.  About halfway through lunch Martha showed up.  She ordered and we all talked until all the food and drinks were done.

When we were done we went back to the dog park.  The dogs didn't run much.  It was much warmer and I think they were kind of tired.   Then we went back to Hooch's place.

We sat out on the deck.  The dogs alternated between resting and playing.  We talked and had snacks until after 6.  Then we drove to the bear restaurant on TV Hwy and had dinner.  Of course everyone left with a box.

From there we went home.  Traffic was moving fast, but not as fast as in the morning.  We stopped at the post office.  My Aliexpress package was there.

When we got home it was feed the pets, do a little surfing, and go to bed.

Day 3499

I woke up at 7:30, payed games, and fed the cats.  Then I took Abby for a walk.  This time Ellen came, too.  When we got back I had breakfast and ordered a cable for the dash cam in the car.  It needed a data only one to work.

I did a little surfing and then decided to work on the 6x6 tires.  It turns out that I needed to cut each foam in half lengthwise in order to make them fit.  That means I only needed 3 foams, not the 8 I bought.  Oh well.  Maybe I'll find a use for the others some day.  After I got the foams installed I glued one side of the 6 tires.  Having to do 6 of everything takes a lot of time.

With the tires done I sat down to videos and lunch.  That lasted for a little while after lunch before I got bored and started surfing.  I ran across a couple of videos about good movies that I'd never heard of.  I ended up watching one.

Dinner was leftover pizza.  After dinner was another video/surfing combination.

I texted Hooch.  Were going up to see him tomorrow.

Thursday, July 17, 2025

Day 3498

I woke up at 7:30, played games for a while, and then got up to take the dog for her walk.  Ellen fed the cats while I was gone.  When I got back i ate breakfast and did a little surfing.  Then it was out to the shed to work on the mini-b.

While I was in the shed I got the receiver bound to the transmitter.  That doesn't sound like much, but it was a lot of work. I had to put batteries in the transmitter and set it up for a new car.  Then I had to make a cable to connect the ESC with the receiver.  That wasn't easy because I had to solder on a tiny connector.  I also had to look up the binding instructions and print them out.  Eventually I got everything connected and the receiver/transmitter bound.  When I tested it the steering worked.  I didn't connect up the motor.  That's another issue, but hopefully it won't be difficult.

The next thing to do is mount the electronics.  I can't do that until Ellen gets some more painting done.

Ellen needed drugs at Walgreen's.  We got them and then had lunch at the golf course.  Of course there was food left over.  We stopped at the post office and picked up the ultrasonic cleaner and the 6x6 tire foams.

When I got home I found that the tire foams will have to be cut down to work.  I didn't feel like doing that so I watched videos instead.

I had leftover golf course quesadilla for dinner.

After dinner I watched videos for a while and then ordered LED's for the 6x6 on Aliexpress.  That kind of hurt since I have everything I need in Texas.

Wednesday, July 16, 2025

Day 3497

I woke up a little after 7 and played games.  When I got up I took Abby for a walk.  Ellen stayed at the trailer and fed the cats.  When we got back I fed the dog.  Then I loaded the big garbage sack into the car and took it to the dumpster.  I also rolled out the hose for the sewer cleaning.  Finally I got to have breakfast.

When breakfast was done I surfed for a while.  Then I got everything out to shoot whirly birds.  Again Ellen didn't want to go.  She was too interested in doing the masking for the micro-b body.  I shot 15 targets and hit about half of them.

It was getting hot by the time I got back.  Eventually it got to 100.  I did a little more surfing and then switched to videos.  That didn't last long.  I ended up watching 2 movies instead.  That took the rest of the afternoon.

About 2 the sewer guy showed up.  I had him on his way in record time.  Then I went back to watching the movies.

Dinner was leftover pizza.  After dinner was split between videos and surfing.

Tuesday, July 15, 2025

Day 3496

We woke up at 7.  I got up, did the pet stuff, and had breakfast.  Then we loaded up the car and went to the laundromat.  Woodburn is pretty uncrowded before 8.

When the laundry was done we went to Safeway before going home.  When we got home I took Abby for an extended walk.  I'd forgotten to get paint brushes,so we went to Brook for them.  When we got home it was lunch time.  The crepe that I'd brought home from Elmer's was still really good.

After lunch i watched videos for a while.  Then I sat down with Ellen and decided how to paint the micro-b body.  She worked on that while I went to the shed to solder the pins to the receiver I'd bought.  It wasn't easy, but I think that I got it right.  The next step will be to see if I can bind it to the receiver.  If I can, then I'll try to mount the electronics.  Hopefully the smaller receiver and the bigger body will give me enough room.

By then it was in the 90's.  I went back inside for more videos.

We had a frozen pizza for dinner.  After dinner was the usual video/surfing split.

Monday, July 14, 2025

Day 3495

I woke up a little after 7, fed the pets, and went back to bed to play games.  Eventually I got up for breakfast.  After that I took Abby for her walk.

Dave has mowed parts of the course that he's never mowed before.  He's flattened a lot of the high gress that Abby lies to run in.  She had fun anyway though.

When we got back I got out the 6x6.  I cut out the body.  I mounted the tires, but didn't glue them.  The tires are squishy soft and need foams.  I ordered some on Amazon.  By the it was lunch time.  We decided to go to Elmer's.  It was pricey, but very good.  I brought home half my meal.

We stopped at the post office.  There were three packages - a water filter, the servos for the 6x6, and the receiver and body for the micro-b.  When we got home I cut out the micro-b body.

The receiver came with NO instructions.  Also, the pins aren't soldered to the board.  I might have to get a tip for my soldering iron to do that.  I did find instructions, but they are minimal.

After that I went outside.  It was hot, but bearable (mid 80's).  I replaced the water filter.  Then I got out a hose and sprayer and washed the leftover salt into the ground.  I picked up what was left with my hands and hauled it away.  The two places that had salt are almost completely clean now.

I was hot and tired when I got done, so I watched videos when I got back inside.  That became a short nap.

Ellen fixed hot dogs for dinner.  After dinner was half and half videos and surfing.

Sunday, July 13, 2025

Day 3494

I woke up at 7:30, fed the pets, and then played games.  When I got up I had breakfast and then went outside to drain the shower tank.  It was already in the high 70's.  I took the dog for her walk.  They'd opened early because of the heat (it got to 100), so we could only go to I5.

When we got back I moved the 4 cases of shotgun shells back to the shed.  While I was doing that Ellen peeled up the scotch tape on the floor.  The floor patch turns out to be a resounding success.  The floor looks perfect.  Hopefully it will hold up.  It's also very nice to have all of the patch materials - shells, towel, glue, etc. back in the shed.

I surfed for a little while and then took Ellen out to plan painting the two RC bodies.  We settled on colors and then went to the RC store.  We took Abby with us.  The RC store has expanded and it's really nice.  I bought tire gluing stuff while Ellen picked paints.  By then it was lunch time.

We stopped at the pet for cat food.  We weighed Abby.  She's lost a pound, down to 33.4.  She's going to be getting more food.  Then we ate lunch at the DQ.  Abby got chicken and french fries.

When we got home I noticed that Abby had salt on her collar and had gotten it all over the back seat.  Apparently she'd rolled in the salt pile the pump guy had left.  Dave had had the workers clean up the small one on the house side, but they left the big pile on our side.  I ended up shoveling up 100+ pounds of salt into a bucket and hauling it over to the trees.  I did it in 94 degree sun.  I was too tired to vacuum the car.  I'll have to do that tomorrow.

I went back inside exhausted and dripping in sweat.  I started to watch videos and eventually napped.  It was hot for the rest of the day - 85 at 9 pm.

Ellen fixed chicken and corn on the cob for dinner.  It was good.

After dinner was more videos until I got bored and switched to surfing.

Saturday, July 12, 2025

Day 3493

I woke up about 7:30, played games for a little while, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that I put the shooting stuff in the truck.  Then I surfed until it was time to leave.

Traffic on I5 was pretty light and very fast.  We got to the club an hour early.  We got ready to shoot and then just sat around talking until it was start time.  Abby got a lot of petting while we waited.

Reggie set another pretty hard course.  My only complaint was that he needed to insert more occasional gimme targets.  I shot the CG.  I shot pretty good when I remembered it shot high and lousy when I didn't.

We had lunch at the club when the shoot was over.  I called Hooch about going to see them.  I found out later that they were on some sort of family outing for his birthday.

We stopped at Freddies on the way home to get a few groceries.  There was a package slip at the post office, but I won't be able to pick it up until Monday.

It was 91 when we got home.  We hid out in the trailer watching videos for the rest of the day.  Ellen fixed shrimp for dinner.  Eventually I switched to surfing.

Friday, July 11, 2025

Day 3492

I woke up at 7:30, played games, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that it was surfing until Abby was ready to run.

It was a little hot out, but Abby still had a good time.  We only went to I5 and back because there were a fair number of shooters out.

When I got back it was time to fix the trailer floor.  I cleaned out the edges with dental picks and used them to apply the adhesive, too.  They worked well.  I used a can of pumpkin to roll it out and cases of shells to weight it down.  It was a lot of time laying on the floor.  Ellen helped by handing me things so I didn't have to get up.  I hope the fix works.

Ellen told me that there was a new Samsung watch with a rotating bezel. I want one.  I can even get a $250 trade in for my old watch.  I need to wait a couple of weeks for it's introduction, but I still spent some time on the web reading about it.  That way I'm sure that I want one.

I noticed that my watch wasn't talking to the phone.  Reconnecting it involved rebooting it.  When I did it lost its mind.  I spent a lot of time getting it back to what I wanted.

The 6X6 truck and its motor came today.  They were delivered to the club.  I opened it up and got out the instruction book.  I needed two servos and a receiver to build it.  I lucked out on Amazon.  It's Prime day and the servos were on sale, cheap.  I also found a case-less receiver that is cheap and small.  I ordered one of those for the micro-b and will use the one I have now on the 6X6.  It turns out that the kit has some, but not all, bearings.  I ended spending a few bucks on Aliexpress that I didn't have to.

I switched to videos, which turned into a nap.  Ellen's asshole was giving her grief, so I had a sandwich for dinner.  After dinner I watched videos for a while and then switched to a movie.  I only got halfway through the movie before I got bored and went to bed.

Tomorrow we have to be on the road before 9 to make the shoot.

Thursday, July 10, 2025

Day 3491

I woke up at 7:30, played games, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  Then we took Abby for a walk.  After that I went outside for morning errands.

I got ready to shoot and tied up the bag of bottles for Hooch.  There was another mouse in the trap, so I put that in the garbage and had Ellen rebait the trap.

That was all there was to do until Hooch showed up, so I surfed.  He parked by the trailer when he did.  We all walked to the club with Abby and Rico.  Ellen got them set up while the dogs, Hooch, Bob, and I walked across the trailer park and back.  The dogs had a good time.

Eventually we got back to the trailer and went shooting.  We left Abby in the trailer and Rico in the car.  I took the CG because I wanted to acquaint myself with how it handles.  I actually shot it fairly well.  Hooch shot really well.  Neither Ellen or I could stop giving Bob tips.  We all had a very good time.

It was after three when we got done.  Hooch wanted to buy some corn, so we went to Baumann's.  We bought a pie for him to take to Martha. We all had a very late lunch at Baumann's.  They make pretty good sandwiches.

We got home just in time to feed the pets.  Then we watched videos.  I had a hard time staying awake.  I'd taken Abby on two walks and walked around the course.

There was no dinner, only snacks.  I switched over to Amazon and bought hair dryers for the nieces for Christmas.  They were 25% off for Prime Day.

Day 3490

I woke up at 7:30, played games, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After breakfast I did a few chores while waiting for the dog to be ready to run - drain the tanks, take out the garbage, get water, etc.

I also had a mouse to remove from the trap.  He's the 4th kill.  He was tricky.  Twice he got the bait without triggering the trap.  This time Ellen "glued" the cheese to the trap with peanut butter.  That got him.  The trap is back in the basement.  The cats are acting like there's another mouse down there.

I got out the CG to shoot and then we took the dog for a walk.  It was the normal out to I5 and back.  She had her normal good time.  Now days she checks all of the place where she's smelled squirrels each time we got out.

When we got back we put on the shooting stuff and went to shoot Helice.  We each shot 10 rounds.  I also bought another ticket for 50 more rounds.  Then we went back to the trailer.  I took the CG out to the shed to clean.  The gun wasn't too dirty, but the chokes were filthy.  I had to leave them in the cleaning solution while we went to lunch.

We ate lunch at the golf course.  It was typical.  The food was good and there was a lot of it.  We both brought home extra.

When I got back I did some internet errands.  I OK'd the vest order and the Bronco II battery.  Both took a little time because they involved multiple messages.  I also ordered a new body for the micro-b.  There's no way that the OEM body will work.

After that it was videos until dinner - left overs.  After dinner was some more videos followed by surfing.

I'm beginning to feel really guilty about not fixing the floor.

Day 3489

I woke up at 7:30, played games for a little bit, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that we loaded up the car and went to the laundromat.  When the laundry was finished we stopped at Coastal to get more garbage sacks.  We also went to Baumann's to get vegetables and fruit.

It was in the mid 80's when we got home.  I took the dog for a walk anyway.  She started out slow, but seemed to get used to the temperature as we went along.  I also threw some frisbees for her when we got back to the trailer.

The next activity was doing a reply to the Bearpelt people about the vest.  They'd gotten the pattern a little wrong, so I modified their picture and sent it back to them.  By then I was tired and it was too hot to go to the shed.  I watched videos until lunch.

After lunch I should have fixed the floor.  Instead I watched ore videos.  Eventually I switched to surfing and Ellen watched chick flicks.

Dinner was frozen pizza.  Ellen put on a Minions movie and I watched it with her.  Then it was a short video session before bedtime.

Day 3488

I woke up a little before 8, did pet stuff and then played games until breakfast.  After breakfast we took Abby for a walk.  It was still morning, but getting hot.  She was slowing down so we only did 1.5 miles.

We really needed some groceries, so when we got back we left Abby in the trailer and went to Safeway.  On the way back we stopped at the post office.

The micro-b part that I was waiting for was at the post office.  I went out to the shed to install it.  I managed to get it installed and the car put back together before it got too hot to work in the shed even with the fan.  I did some test fitting and I'm not sure that the electronics will fit.  I need to do some more work on the problem.

By the time lunch was over it was 90 degrees and getting hotter.  I did some surfing while Ellen watched a chick flick.  After that we switched to videos.

Ellen  fixed stir fry for dinner.  After dinner was a little bit more videos.  Then I went searching for a bigger body for the micro-b.  I found one that looks like it will work if I need it.

Day 3487

I woke up at 7, got up for pet stuff, played games, and then had breakfast. After breakfast we took Abby for a walk.  It was before shooting, so we walked for two miles.  We stopped at the club on the way back to talk for a while.

When we got back I dumped the shower tank.  There was a mouse in the mouse trap, so I put it in the garbage and had Ellen re-bait the trap.  That's the third mouse that we've trapped.

I did a lot of surfing.  I tried shopping, but I just wasn't interested.  Eventually I made a sandwich for lunch and then started watching videos.  That turned into two or three cat naps.

I got up to 92 in the afternoon, so we just hid out in the trailer.

Ellen fixed hot dogs fore dinner.  After dinner was a little more videos followed by surfing.

Day 3486

I woke up at 7:30 and played games for quite a while.  Ellen did the pet stuff and took Abby for a walk while I was having breakfast.

After breakfast I ordered stuff from Aliexpress and Amain to build a 6wd RC truck.  It's supposed to be able to do 4wheel steering.  I've had so much fun working on the micro-b that I wanted something else to work on.  It took quite a while as I was investigating everything to make sure that I got the best prices.

When everything was ordered I surfed for a short tie and then we left for John and Patty's.  We stopped at Arby's on the way to get some lunch.

The visit with John and Patty went as usual.  We drank and discussed a wide array of topics.  It was a lot of fun.

I was proud of Abby.  She was amped when we first got there and we put John and Patty's dogs outside.  Eventually Abby calmed down and we brought in the other dogs.  After that they all coexisted well.

Patty fixed the makings for tacos, burritos, and nachos for dinner.  We all made what we wanted.  After dinner was more talk.

The drive home was fast.  Once we got on I5 it was70-80 the whole way.  When we got home we fed the cats and watched a few videos before going to bed.

Day 3485

I woke up at 7:30, played games for a longtime, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that I went outside to drain the shower tank and find something in the shed to put the CPAP stuff in.

I found a plastic .30 cal ammo can in the shed.  All of the CPAP stuff just barely fits in it. Barely is good enough.  Then I went back inside and surfed until the dog could go running. We did the out to I5 walk.  When we were near I5 she started following a scent trail.  We went around bush and there was a bunny hunkered down on the grass.  She pointed it.  Eventually she grabbed it.  I made her drop it.

When we got home I got an email from Pat saying she wanted chips and salsa when we come tomorrow.  We went to Ross and then stopped at Dutch Bros.  The store has a real sitting area inside.  We sat there for a while and listened to the sing along with the loud music that is always playing at one.

When we got home it was videos and a nap.  I was woken by a junk phone call.  I switched to a movie.  When it was done I had a snack for dinner and went back to videos.  Eventually I switched to surfing.

Day 3484

I woke up about 7:30, played games, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  I surfed until the dog could go running and then we went for a walk.

I charged up the new shower scrubber and Ellen used it on the shower.  When she was done the shower looked new again.  That's the first time it has in years.  When she was done I found a place for it in the shed.  I even found a zippered sack to put all of the attachments in.

We surfed until lunch time and then decided to go to the hamburger place in Hubbard for lunch and eat it in the park nearby with Abby.  Unfortunately it was closed even though it was supposed to be open.  We went to AC Greasy instead and took the food to a park in Woodburn.  It has a skateboard run in it.  I'll have to take my RC car there.

It was getting into the high 80's when we got home.  We spent the rest of the afternoon surfing.  There wasn't any dinner, just snacks.

It's definitely fly season.  I was killing them all afternoon and evening.  I killed over 30.

I've developed some sort of zit like thing on the inside of my leg.  I can't see it except with a mirror.  It is very uncomfortable when I walk.  I'm putting Neosporin on it right now.  If that doesn't work I'll have to go to a doctor.

Day 3483

I woke up at 7:30, played games, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  I followed that with some surfing.  I also paid the Tri-County yearly dues.

Ellen was cleaning the shower with some hand held brush.  I got on Amazon and ordered one with an adjustable handle.  It was on sale for half off and highly rated.  When she was done with the shower I held the dog while she clipped Abby's nails.

After that I went outside to do a few chores.  I put the ammo in the gun cart into the plastic boxes I bought at Bass Pro Shop.  Then I took a big load of cardboard to the burn pile.  Finally I mixed up some poison in the sprayer and sprayed the weeds that had started growing the gravel.  There weren't a lot, but I didn't want them to get ahead of me.  I also sprayed all around the shed.  There were 4 foot whistles in places.  By the end of the day everything I'd sprayed was starting to wilt.

Tony called while I was outside.  My phone was messed up and didn't work with my hearing aids.  I spent a lot of time trying to make it work and failed.  I gave it to Ellen and she found an obscure setting in a phone page that fixed the problem.  Then I called Tony.  He seemed coherent.  I did all most all of the talking, mainly about the dog.

There wasn't much left to do until the sewer guy came, just videos and a nap.  He didn't get here until about 4.  I had hi out of here fairly quickly because I only flushed the tanks for 2 minutes.  That doesn't do a perfect job, but it's close enough.

When the sewer guy was gone I duped the tanks.  Then we went to Harbor Freight to get two new tires for the hose cart.  There was a fireworks stand there and we bought 20 sparklers.  All they have are various sized fountains and they are expensive.

When we got home Ellen fixed pork chops for dinner.

After dinner was a short video session followed by surfing.

Day 3482

I woke up at 8, did the pet stuff, and had breakfast.  Then we loaded up the laundry and went to the laundromat.

I took the car next door to Les Schwab and went back to the laundromat.  They called to say it was ready just before the laundry was finished.  From there we went to Safeway to get the stuff we forgot yesterday.  I wanted to go somewhere else, so we went to Costco.  I needed to get one of my hearing aids looked at.

About 2 weeks ago the right hearing aid had started refusing to stay in my ear.  The person at Costco saw the problem right away.  The little wire thing that holds it in place had broken off.  They fixed it in about 10 minutes.  We went shopping while they did.

On the way home we stopped at the pet store and got some cat food.  We had lunch at the DQ there.  After that it was home.

It was really hot today, high 90's.  We hid out in the trailer watching videos and surfing.

Ellen fixed fish that we'd bought at Costco for dinner.

After dinner I rolled out the hose for tomorrow's sewer work.  Two of the tires on the hose cart won't hold air.  I'll have to replace them.

I spent the rest of the evening surfing while Ellen watched chick flicks.  I also opened the new dash cam we got yesterday.  I'll have to get a "no data" USB adapter before I can install it.

Day 3481

I woke up about 6:30, played games, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  I didn't get much sleep last night.  I didn't get to sleep until 12:30, then the car alarm went off about 1:30.  I couldn't get to sleep afterwards until after I played games for an hour.

The first order of business after breakfast was to go online and make an appointment at Les Schwab for tomorrow to get the Audi's battery changed.  Apparently the alarm goes off at random times when the battery gets low.  The battery is 7 years old, so it's due.

After the appointment making I took Abby for a walk.  I walked 2 miles and she had a great time.  I got back just in time to leave for the dentist appointments.  We got there with 5 minutes to spare.  We had to wait for a while and then they took Ellen.  When she was finished they took me.

We went to Bass Pro Shops on the way home.  We walked around and looked at things.  The only thing I bought was some shell boxes.  That's why I'd stopped.  We had lunch at the place by the pond and stopped at Freddies to do some grocery shopping.  There was a huge backup on I5, so we had to take a back road down to Wilsonville.  The last stop was the post office on the way home.  There were 4 packages there.

When we got home I unpacked the packages.  It was mainly stuff to put away.  Then I did some surfing and online shopping.  I ordered some gun cleaning stuff.

Eventually it was videos.  Surprisingly I didn't take a nap.

Dinner was a few snacks.  After dinner was some videos followed by surfing.
