Day 2135

We got up at 7:20, did the pet stuff and had breakfast.  Then we started to get the trailer ready to leave.  Most things went well except for the TV antenna.  The connector wouldn't rotate, which made it impossible to disconnect.  I finally manhandled it off, but it took quite awhile.  We left at 8:30.

The trip went really well.  No real traffic or truck problems.  We got between 10 and 11 MPG for the 340 miles.  We stopped once for fuel in Boardman for convenience.  We also got lunch at the drive in there.  It was cool.  The Sinclair place had diesel only pumps with no one there.

Two notable things happened.  Some plastic trim strip came off the front of the trailer and was flapping in the wind.  We stopped and I reattached.  Later it did it again.  The truck was doing a regen the second time.  I stopped to fix it and that terminated the regen.  Most of the regen was done though.  I used duct tape to fix the trim the second time.

We got to Odessa about three.  Brad said he would be off work at 6.  We set up the trailer and then went to town.  There isn't much open.  We went to an antiques place and bought some tape.

Odessa only has two places to eat.  One is a diner/bar that is only open from 4 to 7 and doesn't serve much food.  We sat there waiting for Brad for about an hour.  Then we went to the second place - the golf course we're staying at.  We got food and talked.  It was good to catch up.

We parted ways about 7.  It's raining this evening which means Brad can't work tomorrow.  I guess the plan is to go sight seeing with him.  We'll see.

Day 2134

We woke p about 8 and got up at 8:30.  Then it was pet stuff and breakfast.  After that it was outside to prep for leaving.

I started by checking the lug nuts.  Crawling under the slideouts was a pain in the ass.  Then I started rinsing off the truck.  Ellen decided to clean her gun, so she was no help.  I sprayed everything down and scrubbed most of the truck.  Then Ellen helped with the rest. I did the windows - inside and out.

After the truck wash I aired up the truck and trailer tires.  The truck tires took quite a bit because I had them low.  The trailer tires were a pain because I had to crawl under the slideouts.  When I was done I set up for the sewer guy and went inside for lunch.

I stayed inside until the sewer guy came.  I took longer than usual.  For some reason all of the crap wouldn't come out.  When that was done I put everything away.  I also redid the water hose plumbing to make it easier to disconnect tomorrow.  After that I finally didn't have anything to do.

I went inside and watched TV until dinner (leftovers).  After dinner was more TV.  I found a Dodgers games and the end of a Chelsea match.  Both of them lost.  Crap.

The end of the evening was some videos.

Day 2133

We did 't get up until almost 9.  After pet stuff and breakfast it was off to the laundromat.  For some reason it was much more crowded than usual.  We still got our usual machines though.  When we were done it was off to Safeway,

We needed to get groceries for at least a week.  We ended up buying $124 worth of stuff, and that was after a $20 discount.  Wow.  When we were done we went home to put everything away.  When that was done I put the two big bags of bottles in the truck and we took them to Roth's.  Lunch was Mickey D's and then off to Harbor Freight to get another tarp.  The final stop was for fuel.

When we got home I did as much of the final prep items as I could.  I lined up the truck so hook up will be easy.  I drained the tanks.  I put a container of DEF in the truck.  I put the drinks, battery, and gun cart in the truck.  I covered the ammo in the truck with a tarp.  It needed it.  One of the cases had gotten wet.

The roof of the shed leaked badly around the vent.  I tried to caulk it as much as I could.  I was only half way successful.  I'll try again tomorrow when it's a little dryer.

The last stuff was putting things away.  The chairs, table, sprayer, and pin box tripod all went in the shed.  The only things to do tomorrow are air up the tires, charge the rear camera, and wash the truck.

When we leave on Thursday I'll have to drain the shower tank, roll up the water hose, hook up and leave.

I was pretty tired when that was all done.  I went inside and did some surfing.  Then I got hooked listening to Dire Straits on YouTube.  I used the Sony earbuds.  It sounded pretty good to my wrecked ears.

Ellen fixed chicken for dinner.  After dinner I listened to more YouTube.

Day 2132

We woke up a little before 8 and stayed in bed until 9.  Then it was up for pet stuff and breakfast.

It rained hard all night and all of the day.  We didn't leave the trailer all day.  Ellen cleaned the shower and I put spray insulation on the heater.  That was it.

The rest of the night was surfing and watching TV.  Dinner was leftovers.

Devon is really changing his behavior.  He slept with us on the recliners for most of the day.  He even came over and jumped up when I called him once.

Day 2131

We woke up a little after 8 and were up by 9.  After breakfast and pet stuff I went outside to do today's chores.  The wind was blowing fairly hard.  It did so the whole day.  It did make it pleasant to work though.

I unlocked the bikes and took them over to the bike rack  Then I got Ellen out to help me put them on the rack.  We secured them a little differently than we did coming down.  I think they will be much more stable.  Then we put the cover on them.  They are ready for the trip.

I set up the vacuum cleaner and Ellen started cleaning the car while I set up everything else - the hose, wash bucket, and other implement of destruction.  Then I did the inside windows and the leather seats while she cleaned the doors and the back seat.

When that was done I drove the car outside and we washed and dried it.  The Ellen put on the paint protector while I put away all of the stuff we didn't need anymore.  Then I drove the car back into the car port.  Ellen put peppermint oil soaked balls everywhere while I hooked up the battery maintainer.  Finally we put the cover on the car and secured it with bungee cords.

By then it was 1 and we were both tired.  We had lunch (frozen thing).  Then I surfed for a while before sitting down to watch TV.  Of course I fell asleep.  Eventually I woke up and continued with TV until dinner time.

Ellen fixed stir fry (good as usual).  After dinner was TV and a movie.

Saturday, September 25, 2021

Day 2130

We woke up a little after 8 and stayed in bed until after 9.  Then it was pet stuff and breakfast.  After that I went outside to do more travel prep and drain the tanks.

When the tanks were dry I decided to load the truck.  I put the two Americases in the truck and wrapped them in a tarp.  Then I loaded 8 cases of ammo.  It was a lot of work humping things aroound and figuring out how to best position them.

I was tired when that was done, so I went back inside the trailer.  I texted Hooch.  He said come over at 5.  We watched TV for a while and then went to Jones Farm to buy a cherry pie.  We lucked out, they were having a 25% off sale.  We also had to go to Roth's to get some peppermint oil for the car.  When we got home it was more TV until we left at 4.

When we got to Gervais an Amazon semi truck passed us on 99.  That made me suspicious, so I had Ellen look at traffic.  I5 was backed up to Aurora.  So we drove up to there on River Road.  We had to wait at the intersection of the cross street for 10 minutes because a lot of other people were doing the same thing.  We got 3 miles or so on the cross street and came to the end of a 1.5 mile traffic jam.  Some asshole had piled it up there, too.  I made a U turn and we drove to Newberg.

Of course traffic was heavy to and through Newberg.  We eventually made it from 99 and Durham to I5.  We got on just before the 217 exit.  From there it was just spots of slow traffic to Hooch's house.  The whole trip took over an hour and a half.

We had fun at Hooch's place.  We'd brought dessert and he'd ordered fried chicken.  After dinner we talked around the gass fire pit on is deck until 10.  Then we said our goodbyes and drove home.

I was tired when we got home, so it was shower and bed.

Day 2129

We woke up a little after 8 and got up a little after 9.  I went outside to do more prep work after finishing pet stuff and breakfast.

I started out by repacking part of the basement.  I took out a bunch of stuff, rearranged some things and then put in the bicycle stuff along with everything I'd taken out.  The result was pretty successful.  It all fit with a little room to spare.

After that I put the bike rack back together.  I reinstalled the hitch stabilizer, the two stabilizing rods, and the ratchet straps.  It doesn't sound like much, but it too a fair amount of time and effort.  The result is an improvement over what I had on the way up here.

While I was doing that Ellen was making reservations.  The only place available in St. George is the crappy KOA.  I refuse to stay there, so we'll be stay in Mesquite, 50 miles away.  That will make for an early morning on the day we go on the UTV tour.  Oh well, it's better than staying at the KOA.

After that we loaded up the shooting stuff and went to TCGC.  We had fun shooting the few stations that were available.  The target key we used had 1470 targets on it.  We didn't make a dent in that total.  Hooch showed up after an hour.  We did the transfer and he went home.  We'll be back up to his place tomorrow.  We did a little more shooting and then went to John and Patty's.

We stopped pizza on the way.  It was OK, but nothing special.  Then we did the a variation of what we did yesterday - talk and baseball games.  We said our goodbyes about 9 and went home.

When we got home it was put stuff away, feed the cats, fold the clothes, and go to bed.  Devon seems to be pretty much over his snit.

Thursday, September 23, 2021

Day 2128

We got up at 7:30, did the pet stuff and had breakfast.  Then it was off to the dentist.  We made it there 5 minutes before the appointment.  The dentist appointments were routine.

When we were done we went to Home Depot to get some spray foam to repair the hot water tank insulation.  After lunch at the bagel place we went to John and Patty's.

We had a great time there talking and watching photos of a trip to Hungary that they took a few years ago.  Patty fixed dinner and then we watched a football game.  It sucked.

We left their place a little before 9.  When we got home it was a little surfing and bed.

Devon is still being a shit about Cooper.  He's really hissing and scratching at Cooper.  This better end or I'm going to take a hand in it.

Wednesday, September 22, 2021

Day 2127

We woke up about 8 and stayed in bed until 9.  Then it was pet stuff and breakfast.  After breakfast it was a little surfing and then I decided to work on the train building.

The building uses some weird decals that I'd never seen before. you cut them out, rub them on the model part, and then remove a top plastic covering.  It took a while to get it right.  Also, there weren't any instructions on where to put them.  After they were finished I wanted to glue on some parts.  Unfortunately Ellen didn't paint the parts I needed to start with.

When I was done I packed up the model and put it in a cabinet.  I put the tools back in the shed and loaded some ammo into the gun cart.  We got out all of the stuff and went shooting.  I shot OK, but not great.  Ellen sucked.  It was fun though, especiall because the weather was great.

We stopped at the club on the way back.  Hooch had called and said he want to meet at TCGC on Friday.  We're going to meet hi there.  I wanted to get some more ammo and talk to the guys from Shot For The Cure.  Unfortunately we won't be abe to shoot because we have the dentist tomorrow.

We hauled the ammo back to the trailer and put everything away.  I was about to get a late lunch when I went  looking for Cooper.  He wasn't in the trailer.  There was a little piece of Styrofoam on the floor that we couldn't figure out where it came from.  I was really disturbed.

I spent the next hour+ looking outside for Cooper.  I walked all the way out to station 5, around the pipes, inside the pipe, under the house deck, and in the trees by the trailer.  No Cooper.  I'd written hi off.

I went to clean my gun because the chokes barely came out.  I wasn't hungry anymore.  Just before I was done Ellen opened the basement.  Cooper was inside the basement.  We didn't know how he got there.  As I was putting the gun away everything clicked.  I removed the bottom pan drawer.  To the left of it was the hot water tank with part of the insulation chewed off.  The area back there had an easy pathway for a cat to get to the basement wall.

I went out to the shed to get some spray insulation to patch up the water heater, but it was fried up.  Then I opened up the basement.  It was easy to see how Cooper could climb over the basement wall and into the basement.

Apparently Ellen had left the drawer partially open.  She does that a lot.  Cooper had opened the drawer (he likes to do that) and climbed behind.  He, and maybe Devon, had chewed on the insulation.  Then Devon had gotten out and closed the drawer.  Cooper had no where to go except the basement.  Luckily I'd moved the cat food bags to the plastic container in the morning.

Devon is back to screaming at Cooper again.  He's actually getting very mean.  I hope it doesn't tak him another 3 days to calm down.

Between walking the course and then the search for Cooper I was very tired.  Dinner was a frozen breakfast and some rolls.  After that I sat in the recliner and played games.  I also took a nap.  I woke up, watched a little more TV and went to bed about 10.

At least there isn't a coyote out there somewhere munching on Cooper.

Tuesday, September 21, 2021

Day 2126

We woke up at 8 and stayed in bed until 9.  Then it was pet stuff, breakfast, and leaving to do the laundry.  The laundry was uneventful except I had to drive back to the club to get the clothes I'd poisoned the environment in.

After we were done we went to Safeway for some groceries.  Then we stopped at Wheeler Dealer for more cheap Russell Stovers chocolates.  They're OK for being left over from last Christmas.  The last stop was the farm store in Salem for stir fry ingredients.

We put everything away when we got home and then Ellen gave me a haircut.  After that I made reservations at the Odessa RV and Ellen made reservations at Richland.  That's two more things off the pre-trip todo list.

By then it was time for a late lunch - I had a donut and an ice cream bar for lunch.  After that it was surfing and a lot of game playing.  I was planning on going shooting, but it got too hot - over 80.

Ellen fixed some breaded chicken for dinner that we bought at Costco.  I'm not really fond of it.

After dinner we watched the beginning of Hawaii 5-0.  I think we're going to get hooked.

Monday, September 20, 2021

Day 2125

We got up at 7:30 and played games for about an hour.  Then I got up to do pet stuff and breakfast.  Ellen stayed in bed for quite a while longer.  It was cold and foggy, so there was no reason to get up.  I surfed until about 11.  Then I got out some tools and cleaned out the shower drain.

The drain was at least half clogged with hair and dried soap.  I removed some of it with long nose pliers.  I dug out more with a screw driver.  When I was finished I poured a pan of water down the drain to rinse it out.  The result looked completely clean.

Lunch was a sandwich.  Afterwards I went outside to finish spread the Casoron.  I moved the car so I could do the car port, too.  It was a little windy, but luckily I didn't have a lot of ground to cover.  When I was finished I took a shower and put the clothes in a plastic bag.

After that I called the RV place in Odessa.  They have a spot available.  It was the middle of the afternoon, so I waited to call Brad until after dinner.

Dinner was leftovers.  I called Brad afterwards.  He said the dates were fine.  So I'll call tomorrow and make the reservations.

After that it was TV.  Two movies, including the original Little Shop of Horrors.

Sunday, September 19, 2021

Day 2124

We got up at 8 today and stayed in bed playing games for about an hour.  The weather was a lot better today, cold but not windy.  After pet stuff and breakfast there was a little surfing.  Then we left to do errands.

After taking the garbage to the dumpster we stopped at Costco first.  Sunday afternoon is not the best time to go there.  We had to wait to get into the parking lot and again to check out.  We did get several things we needed before the trip - water, drugs, DEF, and some stuff for lunch and dinner.  It's hard to believe that it's only 10 day until we leave.

The next stops were the pet store and Roth's in south Salem.  We got chicken hearts at the pet store and needed groceries at Roth's.  On the way back we stopped at an auto store for Stabil, Mickey D's for lunch, and the post office.  The only thing I forgot to get was toothpaste.  All in all it was a successful trip and gets us closer to being prepared to leave.

When we got home I just felt like vegging out.  The afternoon was spent surfing and watching TV.  Dinner was leftover pizza.  After dinner was a car show marathon.

Devon has gotten friendly in the last few days.  He's coming down in the evening and sitting with either Ellen and me.  When he sits with me Cooper gets jealous.

Saturday, September 18, 2021

Day 2123

We woke up at 8.  It was raining hard, so we stayed in bed playing games until noon.  That's right, until noon.  The cats were very happy when we finally got up for pet stuff and breakfast.

I only accomplished two things today.  I dumped the tanks.  It took hours because I had to wait for a lull in the rain to go out and change the valves.  I also finally finished putting the windows in the train building.  Now maybe I can start putting on some parts.

We spent the whole day inside surfing and watching TV.  It rained off and on all the way until bed time.  Ellen fixed sausage and pancakes for dinner.  The sausage was Thorny Dean's and was good.

Friday, September 17, 2021

Day 2122

We woke up at 8 and played games for about an hour.  Then it was pet stuff and breakfast.  It was a little cold and the wind was blowing hard.  Hard enough to shake the trailer.  That meant we weren't interested in going anywhere today.  We spent all of the morning and part of the afternoon surfing and watching TV.

I did get a little bit more done on the train building model.  The problem is I can only attach one part.  then I have to wait for the glue to dry before attaching the next one.  At least the Gorilla glue I'm using makes applying the glue easy.

About 4 the wind died down.  It was still blowing some, but that just made the 80 degree temperature seem cooler.  We got out all of the stuff and went shooting.  We actually had to delay going out for a while to let some other shooters get in front of us.  It was fun, just like yesterday.  Even better, I shot a lot better.  Not great, but satisfactory.

When that was over we watched a little TV before dinner.  Ellen fixed stir fry beef.  It was OK, but not as good as the other night.

After dinner was TV and a movie.

Thursday, September 16, 2021

Day 2121

I woke up a little before 8 and played games until a little before 9.  Then it was pet stuff, breakfast, and a little surfing.  After that I took out the garbage (two loads) and got out the cart and some ammo.

We did some more surfing waiting for the old guys to finish.  It was cold last night, mid 40's.  It warmed up pretty nicely though so it was comfortable when we were shooting.  The targets were really fun.  They had all been changed for last weekend's tournament.  Unfortunately I shot like shit.  The floaters were really bad for the first few stations.  They never left my left eye, so I missed a lot of left to right shots.

We left to got grocery shopping when we were done.  Lunch was at Dairy Queen, I had a jones for a blizzard.

When we got home it was TV and a little surfing.  Dinner was a frozen pizza.  After dinner was more TV.

Wednesday, September 15, 2021

Day 2120

We woke up about 8 and stayed in bed until 9.  Today is a sewer day so we can't go anywhere.  After pet stuff and breakfast we surfed for a while.  Then I got out the hose ans hooked everything up.

I continued working on the itinerary.  I think I've pretty much got it complete.  Ellen helped a little by looking up a couple of places to stay.  I have to confirm staying at Odessa before it can be declared finalized.  I think it will be a fun trip.

That actually took quite a while.  Afterwards it was surfing and TV.  Lunch was a sandwich.  The sewer guy showed up shortly afterwards, early for him.

We probably should have gone shooting afterward the sewer was done.  It was a really nice day.  Unfortunately Ellen's asshole was giving her problems.  We ended up with more TV and surfing.

Dinner was leftovers.  Afterwards was TV.

Tuesday, September 14, 2021

Day 2119

We woke up at 8 and played games for half an hour or so.  Then it was up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After breakfast we left to do the laundry.

Doing the laundry was uneventful.  Afterwards we stopped at Coastal so we could get some more Casaron.  That's when I remembered that we needed to got to First Tech to check on the status of our accounts.

The guy at First Tech was very helpful.  Quite a change from the banks.  He fixed a problem with access to one of the accounts and updated our other ones.  We were hungry when we finished.

I wanted to go to a new place I saw when we were driving to the state fair.  It turned out to be some kind of Mexican cheese and fast food place.  It was supposed to have ice cream, but it didn't.  We just left.  We decided to eat at the restaurant by the old Key Bank.  We stopped at harbor Freight on the way so I could get a magnifying glass.  I need it to work on models.  The glasses aren't good enough.

When we got home I spent quite a while working on the trip itinerary.  I got it all worked out except where to stay.  We'll probably do that tomorrow.  After that I didn't feel like doing anything more.  We just surfed and watched TV.

Ellen fixed stir fry for dinner.  It was good as usual.  After dinner was TV.

Monday, September 13, 2021

Day 2118

We woke up about 8.  I'm not sure when we got up, I didn't look.  After pet stuff and breakfast I went out to charger the battery on the sprayer.  It was so dead that neither charger even registered it as connected.

That put a stop to spraying, so we left to run errands.  We took the garbage to the dumpster.  Then we went to CVS to get my drugs.  We also got flu shots.  The next stop was for cat food.  We now have enough to last until we get back home.  After that it was BiMart to get another battery.  The final stop was for groceries.

When we got home I put the new battery on the charger.  Then I went back to the trailer to have lunch and wait for the battery to charge.  I went out when it was, but it was too windy to spray.  I went back and started planning the travel itinerary.  I got it about half dome before the wind died down.

I went outside to spray.  I decided to test the sprayer before filling it.  It was a good idea.  It wouldn't work.  I took the whole thing apart and found nothing wrong.  However, when I put it back together it worked.  I loaded it with 4 gallons of mixture and commenced spraying.  It was no fun.  By the time I was finished my back hurt and I was tired.

I cleaned and put the sprayer away.  Then I applied the Casoron.  Unfortunately I need more.  Fortunately tomorrow is Tuesday and I'll be able to get more at a discount.  When I was finished we put my clothes in a plastic bag for cleaning tomorrow and I took a shower.  It felt good.

After the shower I was tired and sore.  I sat down in the recliner and watched a movie.  Dinner was leftover sloppy joe's.  After that was TV and some games.

Sunday, September 12, 2021

Day 2117

We woke up about 8 and played games until 10.  then it was pet stuff and breakfast  The kitties were happy.  Hooch didn't want us to come before 12, so we killed some time surfing.  We left abut 11.

The first stop was Jones Farm.  We bought some plums (apparently the rugrats like them).  We also managed to finally score a crusty cherry pie.  We got on the freeway at Brooks.  The fast lane was fast.  We spent a lot of time above the speed limit.  We stopped for gas at Freddie's, but the line was really long.  We drove up to Costco.  The line was only one car long and the gas was cheaper.

Tammies had a new shipment of model paint, so we stopped there.  We bought three colors and some stencils for the trx4.  We also bought some figurines for the rugrats to paint.  We stopped at the bagel place for lunch and then went to Hooch's.

We talked for hours.  I had to tell the tail of the three dollar bill twice.  Hooch ordered Mexican for dinner and I paid for it.  It was surprisingly good.  So was the cherry pie.

After dinner we talked for a little longer and then left.  Alicia has a practice at 6 tomorrow morning.

The drive home was uneventful.  I didn't drive as fast as going up, but traffic wa light enough that I could have.  When we got home it was a litte surfing and bed.

Saturday, September 11, 2021

Day 2116

We got up at 8, did pet stuff and had breakfast.  Then it was sit around for a while before going to the club.  The weather was perfect.  It was sunny with a light breeze to keep things cool.  To top it off the pumpkin harvesters were operating.

We shot at 9:30.  I sucked, 77.  It's been a long time since I shot below 80 at a tournament.  The only way I'm going to get near where I was was to concentrate really hard on every shot.  That's a lot of work.  We finished a little before noon and ate lunch at the roach coach.

We went back to the trailer and put things away.  Then we watched TV and surfed.  I went out twice to watch the harvesters, but they weren't working any more.  I was disappointed.  I went back inside and fell asleep watching videos.  When I woke up I watched some more.

Ellen fixed corn and sloppy joes for dinner.  After dinner was more videos until the batteries in the ear buds wore out.  Then it was surfing.

Friday, September 10, 2021

Day 2115

We got up a little after 8, did the pet stuff and had breakfast.  Then I got out the 20 ga and loaded up the cart.  We got out the rest of our stuff and went to the club.  We were about 20 minutes early, so we talked and then walked to our station.

Ellen didn't shoot particularly well.  Neither did I, but it had more to do with my lack of concentration than the floaters.  The weather was great - upper 60's and cloudy.

The farmer moved all of the pumpkins into rows today.  Late in the evening they moved in some more langoliers machines.  I hope the wait until tomorrow to harvest them.

Ellen had done a half assed job of cleaning her chokes when they got stuck a couple of weeks ago.  So after shooting she re-did it.  When she was finished I modified the gun cart a little to tighten up the bar that holds the but stocks.

Lunch was a sandwich.  I was tired of eating at that roach coach that is at every shoot.  After lunch we went to Walgreen's to get Ellen's drugs  I was going to get a flu shot except there was a long line.

When we got back I watched videos and Ellen watched chick flicks.  Just before dinner I sat in the recliner and ended up taking an hour long nap.  When I woke up it was a frozen dinner.

After dinner was videos.  The TV was on, but I didn't really watch it.

Thursday, September 9, 2021

Day 2114

We woke up a little after 8 and got up at 9.  After pet stuff and breakfast I went outside and drained the tanks.  I also put the TRX4 in the basement.  It's now officially a Texas project.

When I was done with the tanks (and some game playing) I got out the Gorilla glue I bought yesterday.  I used it on the train building model and it works great.  A few drops on the inside of the parts and it holds.  It's tacky immediately and dries pretty quickly.

It was a nice day weather wise.  We probably should have gone shooting, but we didn't.  Instead it was surfing and TV.  I did email Hooch, he wants us to come Sunday  Ellen signed us up for shoots tomorrow and Saturday.  That seemed to be enough.

Lunch was a salad.  Ellen fixed stew and mashed potatoes for dinner.  It was really good.  I spent the entire evening on videos.  I ran the tablet out of battery and had to plug it in.

Wednesday, September 8, 2021

Day 2113

We woke up at 8 and got up at 9 for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that I decided to go outside and repack the basement.  I took almost everything out of it and started over again.  The effort was very successful.  I got everything I needed into the basement and there is still significant room left over.  We should be OK going back.

When that was back I went inside and looked for a battery replacement.  I found both Interstate and Optima batteries for $200 that would work.  I called 4 places, none of them had them.  I ended up buying an Optima for $250.

While in Woodburn I also bought some x-acto knives and some gel glue.  I'd tried to glue the train building together, but the glue that guy at Tammie's had sold me sucked.  Also, I needed a knife to trim parts.

Ellen needed drugs, so we went to Walgreen's.  They were on lunch break so we went to Denny's.  Unfortunately we forgot to go back when we were done with lunch.

When we got home I put the battery on the charger.  It was at 70%.  Then I went back inside for surfing and TV.

Dinner was left over stir fry.  After dinner was more TV.  I went out to check the charger before I went to bed.  The battery was fully charged.  I might top it off before we leave.

Tuesday, September 7, 2021

Day 2112

We woke up about 8 and got up about 9.  Then it was pet stuff, breakfast, and leave for the laundromat.  Clothes washing went as normal.  This time I didn't leave my tablet there.  I spent most of my time there researching replacement batteries for the Bronco.  I'll try to get one sometime this week.

After laundry we went to Safeway for milk.  Then it was over to BiMart to buy a couple of containers for stuff we want to take home.  I had a dog meat craving, so we stopped at Mickey D's for an early lunch.  We also stopped at Baumann's for corn.

Ellen wanted to go to the Iris place to buy bulbs.  It turns out they only sell them mail order.  Then she wanted to go to Hobby Lobby to buy a better airbrush.  On the way there I stopped at the hobby store and bought a body for the TRX4.  After Hobby Lobby we bought cat food at Petco and noise cancelling headphones for Melissa for her ride in their noisy van.

By then both the back seat and the trunk were full.  We went home and unloaded things.   Then I spent a bunch of time in the shed packing up more stuff.  The basement is going to be pretty full on the way home.

After that it was surfing and TV.  Ellen fixed stir fry for dinner.  It was really good.  After dinner was TV.

Day 2111

We stayed in bed pretty late today - playing games.  Then it was get up for pet stuff and breakfast.  When that was done I wnt out to the shed to start packing things up.  Ellen used the airbrush to paint some more parts for the train building model.

I packed a bunch of stuff in the plastic bin I'd used to bring stuff down in.  I left it in the shed because it isn't full left.  I moved most of the other stuff that we'll be taking back to the basement.  I do need to get one more storage box for some of the stuff.  When Ellen was done I packed away the airbrush stuff also.

The last thing to do was drain the tanks.  It was sunny on that side of the trailer by then, so I sat in the shed while I was waiting.

Thankfully neither Tony or Yo called.  That's two days in a row without them bothering me.  Maybe the drugs are kicking in.

We spent the rest of the day lazing around the trailer.  I did a lot of surfing and TV watching.  So did Ellen.

Ellen fixed frozen fish for dinner.  It was OK.

Day 2110

We got out of bed a little before 9, did the pet stuff and had breakfast.  After that we packed up a suitcase and went up to see John and Patty.   We stopped at Safeway on the way to get a bunch of Keto stuff.

When we got there we unloaded the car and then sat down to talk.  I spent quite a while regaling him with the latest episodes of the Tony and Yo saga.  It took quite a while.  After I was done everyone decided we needed a drink.

We watched football and talked about a bunch of stuff.  I got in some quality time playing with the dogs.  I've pretty much decided to get another one if we can find a suitable one.  Ellen wants something called a Brittany.  After football we watched the Mariners and talked more.

Patty fixed pork chops and potatoes for dinner.  As always it was good.  After dinner we switched to racing, first F1 and then NASCAR truck racing, and continued talking.  The race was actually really entertaining.  A lot more entertaining then F1.

I really had a hard time deciding whether or not to stay.  I finally decided to go home for the cats.  It turned out that's what Ellen wanted too.  Also, Pat and the rugrat have something planned for tomorrow.

Day 2109

Game playing kept us in bed until almost 10.  Yo called while we were still in bed.  Apparently Tony was arguing with him this morning and left.  I reiterated what I'd told him yesterday and gave him some words of encouragement.  After the phone call it was pet stuff and breakfast.

CVS texted me during breakfast to say a drug was ready.  I looked at a couple of videos about greasing the TRX4 and then we left.  We got the drugs and then went to Michael's.  I got some jars there for the grease and some applicators.

We stopped at Lowes and got grease and silicon lube.

By then it was 1:45.  We killed a little time at REI and then went for lunch at Hops and Drops.  We're not sure whether our anniversary is today or tomorrow.  We bought a celebration cake at Safeway anyway.

After that we went home.  The rest of the afternoon was TV and some gaming.  We had sort of a mini dinner of leftover pizza and anniversary cake.

Day 2108

I woke up after 8 and spent a lot of time playing games.  Finally I got out of bed for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that was draining the tanks and surfing.

Sitting around has gotten pretty old, so we went shooting.  I did pretty good except for the stations where the floaters screwed me up.  There was one crosser I couldn't hit to save my life though.  On the other hand I hit a lot of hard targets.

It was warm by the time we were finished, but not overly hot.  It eventually got to about 82 today  I fixed lunch.  Yo called just as I was setting on the table.  He and Tony saw the doctor today.  The doctor prescribed 2 or 3 20 mg pills a day.  Tony told me he'll take them.  I had a long talk with Yo advising him to get Tony on welfare ASAP.  The two of them are meeting with the social worker soon.  I told Yo to get the social worker to help with the application.  The maybe good news is Tony didn't mention coming down tomorrow.

After a long drawn out conversation I finally got to eat my lunch.  After lunch we went to an auto parts store for some grease and Safeway for some bananas.

Ellen fixed salmon and rice pilaf for dinner. It was really good.  After dinner was a lot of TV and a  little surfing.

Day 2107

I woke up at 8 and played games for a while.  Then it was up for pet stuff and breakfast.  When that was done I started watching a video on assembling the TRX4.  I was very helpful.  I onlly watched about an hour of a 4 hour video.

While I was doing that Ellen took another stab at sealing the shower.  I have no idea what's wrong.  There was no point in watching the whole video, so when she was done we left to pick up packages and buy cat food.  There were packages at both the club and the post office.  They contained everything that we had on order.

We drove all the way down to the south Salem pet store.  It's the only one that has chicken hearts.  We got a bag and some dry cat food.  We also stopped at the Roth's next door.  On the way back I stopped at a Mickey D's.  As we pulled in Tony called.

Tony was manic.  Apparently he was a Yo's and wanted to go to Kent.  Yo had his car keys and wouldn't give them to him.  Yo offered to drive him, but Tony says Yo drives too fast.  Apparently there was a shoving event of some sort.  Tony wanted me to get Yo to give Tony his car keys.

What ensued was a conversation with Tony, followed by a conversation with Yo, followed by a conversation with Tony, Followed by another conversation with Yo, followed by a conversation with a police officer.  I learned that Tony was only taking have the dosage of the drug that he should be taking.  I read him the riot act.  He went outside while I talked with Yo and apparently called the police.

I talked to Yo about getting Tony enrolled in welfare and Social Security.  I also told him to try to get a power of attorney.  I confirmed to the policeman that Tony was bipolar and seemed to be manic at the moment.  It was not a fun thing to go through before lunch.

We drove back home.  We got stuck in a long traffic jam on 99 at Brooks.  Ellen said she thought it was a school bus.  We ended up driving to River Road and then across on Concomly.

When we got home the Tony mess had tired me out.  I opened the packages.  I was really happy with all of the things that I'd purchased.  Ellen fixed pizza and leftover chowder for dinner.  After that it was videos for the rest of the night.

Day 2106

I woke up about 8 and played games for a while.  Then it was pet stuff and breakfast.  After that I went out and set up for the sewer guy.

It was a nice day, a little cool.  Unfortunately we couldn't do anything because it was sewer day.  It turns out we couild have done a lot.  The sewer guy didn't show up until 5.  We were worried.

I spent the day surfing.  Ellen watched TV.  I wish we'd accomplished something.

Tony called in the afternoon.  He says he's coming on Saturday.  We'll see.

Ellen fixed Korean chicken for dinner.  It was really good.  After dinner we watched TV.  They were all recorded shows because there was nothing being broadcast that was worth watching.
