We got up at 7:20, did the pet stuff and had breakfast. Then we started to get the trailer ready to leave. Most things went well except for the TV antenna. The connector wouldn't rotate, which made it impossible to disconnect. I finally manhandled it off, but it took quite awhile. We left at 8:30.
The trip went really well. No real traffic or truck problems. We got between 10 and 11 MPG for the 340 miles. We stopped once for fuel in Boardman for convenience. We also got lunch at the drive in there. It was cool. The Sinclair place had diesel only pumps with no one there.
Two notable things happened. Some plastic trim strip came off the front of the trailer and was flapping in the wind. We stopped and I reattached. Later it did it again. The truck was doing a regen the second time. I stopped to fix it and that terminated the regen. Most of the regen was done though. I used duct tape to fix the trim the second time.
We got to Odessa about three. Brad said he would be off work at 6. We set up the trailer and then went to town. There isn't much open. We went to an antiques place and bought some tape.
Odessa only has two places to eat. One is a diner/bar that is only open from 4 to 7 and doesn't serve much food. We sat there waiting for Brad for about an hour. Then we went to the second place - the golf course we're staying at. We got food and talked. It was good to catch up.
We parted ways about 7. It's raining this evening which means Brad can't work tomorrow. I guess the plan is to go sight seeing with him. We'll see.
