We woke up a little after 8 and stayed in bed until after 9. Then it was pet stuff and breakfast. After that I went outside to do more travel prep and drain the tanks.
When the tanks were dry I decided to load the truck. I put the two Americases in the truck and wrapped them in a tarp. Then I loaded 8 cases of ammo. It was a lot of work humping things aroound and figuring out how to best position them.
I was tired when that was done, so I went back inside the trailer. I texted Hooch. He said come over at 5. We watched TV for a while and then went to Jones Farm to buy a cherry pie. We lucked out, they were having a 25% off sale. We also had to go to Roth's to get some peppermint oil for the car. When we got home it was more TV until we left at 4.
When we got to Gervais an Amazon semi truck passed us on 99. That made me suspicious, so I had Ellen look at traffic. I5 was backed up to Aurora. So we drove up to there on River Road. We had to wait at the intersection of the cross street for 10 minutes because a lot of other people were doing the same thing. We got 3 miles or so on the cross street and came to the end of a 1.5 mile traffic jam. Some asshole had piled it up there, too. I made a U turn and we drove to Newberg.
Of course traffic was heavy to and through Newberg. We eventually made it from 99 and Durham to I5. We got on just before the 217 exit. From there it was just spots of slow traffic to Hooch's house. The whole trip took over an hour and a half.
We had fun at Hooch's place. We'd brought dessert and he'd ordered fried chicken. After dinner we talked around the gass fire pit on is deck until 10. Then we said our goodbyes and drove home.
I was tired when we got home, so it was shower and bed.
