Day 2105

I woke up at 8:30, played games for a while and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that it was off to do the laundry.

The laundry went as usual.  The owner got there just as we were going to leave. We talked with him gor some time.  At one point during the conversation I went to the bathroom.

We did three things before going home.  We stopped at the cash machine and got money to replace what we'd spent yesterday.  Then we stopped at Safeway for bananas, bread, and some other stuff.  Finally we stopped at Coastal for herbicide.

When we got home the screen door latch broke while we were bringing things in.  I was repairing it when the laundromat owner called.  I'd left my tablet in the bathroom.  Luckily he had found it.  Ellen went to get it while I finished the latch repair.

I had lunch and then wrote a couple of revisions to the instructions for Tony.  Then I emailed it to Yo.  After that I reviewed the results of the title search on the condo.  It turns out that there are over $100,000 in liens on the property - property tax, IRS, and condo.  There's no way to clear them.  The IRS liens are the largest.  I don't know how he got that big a charge.

When all of that was done I just surfed for the rest of the day.  Ellen fixed chowder and chicken cordon bleu for dinner.   After dinner I listened to history guy videos for the whole evening.

Day 2104

I woke up at 8:30, played games for a while, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  I looked up the state fair website, the dock dogs didn't start until 11.  We spent some time surfing and then left for the fair.  We stopped to fill up the car on the way because I like to have a full tank over the labor day weekend.

The dock dogs were on every hour.  The shows lasted almost an hour.  We watched a couple and then went around the fair.  We bought a yard heron at one.  It's the same colored steel stuff that we buy for the walls in the house.

Of course we hit everything at the fair - the crafts, the sales booths, and the overpriced food.  We also sat and listened to some of the music acts.  We also went back and watched some more dock dogs.

Yo called.  He said Tony was taking his drugs and that the social worker was coming by for a follow up today.  I asked him if he would send me his mail or email so I could send him the stuff Ellen and I came up with for Tony.  He said he would.  I told him I'd call later.  I made it a short conversation because I wanted to spend time at the fair.

We ate dinner at the fair and listened to music.  We left after 8.  I didn't feel like calling Yo, so I texted him instead.

I drained the tanks when we got home.  That way they will be about half full on Wednesday when the sewer guy called.  The rest of the short evening was surfing.

Day 2103

We got up at 7:15, did pet stuff, had breakfast, and left for the club.  The drive was much faster than yesterday.  It took less than 30 minutes.

That made us a little early, so we stood around until it was 9:00.  I shot a little better than yesterday.  Part of that was because the floaters weren't as bad, and part was because the course was a little easier.  Unfortunately Ellen shot worse.  That meant that she didn't win her class even though she was leading yesterday.  We hung around until the scores were announced and then we went to John and Patty's.

We had fun at John and Patty's drinking and talking.  In mid afternoon Tony called.  He wanted to "know what he should do".  I told him he was going to have to take his drugs.  He started to go manic.  I told him that if wasn't going to listen to me I'd hang up.  He didn't listen, so I did.

We continued to talk and drink, with the subject now being Tony.  After an hour or so Tony came back saying he'd found part of his pills.  Unfortunately he'd destroyed the dosage instructions.  I gave his three things to do - go to the pharmacy to get the info, clean out his email box so I could send him info, and clean out his mail box so I could send him mail.  We'll see if he'll do that.

Patty fixed salmon and rice for dinner.  It was great.  After that we sat out on the deck and drank and talked.  We left about 8:30.

I've been driving the truck this weekend, so we stopped at Freddie's for fuel.  28 gallons cost exactly $100.  Fuck Biden.

When we got home I did a little surfing and then went to bed.  I was tired.

Saturday, August 28, 2021

Day 2102

We woke up at 8.  After pet stuff and a quick breakfast we left for the club.  We got there a little after 9.  It was Saturday, so the traffic was heavier than we're used to.

The shoot started at 10 and lasted until about noon.  There were 15 stations spread all the way down to the 600 yd pits.  It was quite a walk.  I was really tired by the time we were done.  Ellen shot pretty well.  I shot well on the stations where I didn't have floaters and sucked at the ones where I did.

When the shoot was done we packed up and went to Beaverton for lunch.  After a short stop at Tammies we went to Hooch's place.  We sat there and talked until almost 9.  Hooch ordered pizza for dinner.  I kind of got him understanding what I want to do with Tony.  The only point he's not sure about is automatically paying the condo fees.

Tony called a little before dinner.  I didn't answer.  He sent a text saying he was coming down tomorrow.  That after I told him on the phone yesterday that we weren't home this weekend.  I texted him back saying don't come.  A little later I left him a voicemail saying the same thing.

The ride home was uneventful.  When we got home I drained the tanks and then went to bed.  They are starting at 9 tomorrow, so we have to get up at 7:30.

Friday, August 27, 2021

Day 2101

We woke up a little before 8:30 and played games in bed for an hour.  Then it was pet stuff and breakfast.

I wasn't sure if or when Tony would show up, so I didn't schedule anything.  Instead I did some surfing and some RC video watching.  Ellen made another attempt to seal the shower.  Yesterday's work actually made it a little worse.  Sigh.  She watched TV when she was done.

About noon Ellen announced that we needed groceries.  We got in the car and went to Roth's.  On the way back we stopped at the Salem farm store.  It was sandwiches for lunch when we got home.

Tony still didn't call, so it was more surfing and a little game playing.  He finally called just as Ellen was serving dinner.  I told him we were competing this weekend and would be gone.  So now he has vague plans of coming next week.

After dinner I watched some more videos.  I also ordered a stand to use when constructing the truck.  I tried to find other things to order, but I couldn't.  I did find a cool motor on YouTube, but it's $160.

We went to bed a little early because we need to go to TCGC tomorrow.

Thursday, August 26, 2021

Day 2100

We woke up about 8 and played games for a while before getting up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that I went outside to put some stuff away.  We've been acquiring a bunch of stuff and leaving it in the trunk and on the kitchen counters.  I sorted it all and put it away in the shed.  I was going to work on the train building, but Ellen has some more painting to do.

Ellen got the stuff out to seal the shower again.  It's still leaking a little bit.  She redid the section that she thinks is leaking.  We'll see.

The last of the electric tooth brush heads have worn out.  So I got out the new brushes, mounted the new charger, and threw the old brushes away.

I couldn't work on the building, so I opened up the trx4 box.  I looked at the parts (there's lots of them) and went through the instructions.  I made some notes and looked at all of the optional parts they suggest.  I only decided to buy one.  One thing that hasn't changed, parts for RC cars are expensive.  It took quite a while to go through it all.

When we were finished with our activities we had leftovers for lunch.  Then I started to look for places to buy the rest of the stuff I need.  It's about $200.  That took until after dinner.  I made orders at Amazon and a hobby store.  I'll have everything except a battery.  A mail order battery would be $35, with a $54 shipping fee.  I'll have to buy something before we leave, there's only one RC hobby store in Austin.

Sometime in the afternoon Tony call.  He had a big fight with Yo.  He said he was coming down tomorrow to talk to me, get a tire, and get some money.  He wouldn't tell me how.  About dinner time Yo called to tell me about the fight and to say he doesn't want anything to do with Tony any more.  I don't blame him.

After dinner I eventually I got tired of RC stuff and just surfed.

Wednesday, August 25, 2021

Day 2099

We woke up a little after 8, did the pet stuff and had breakfast.  Then we went to the laundromat.  That went as usual.  When it was done we went to Mt. Angel and got the truck.  After that we went back to the trailer to drop off the truck.

We looked up the address of the hobby store in Happy Valley and loaded it into the Nav system.  Ellen called them to make sure they had the kit.  Then we went to Happy Valley.  It was 11:30 and the north bound traffic was moving, but really heavy.

We got to the shop with no problems.  We bought the kit and looked at a lot of other stuff.  Then we ate lunch at the Arby's next door.  Hooch called me on the way back to talk about the title search.  I asked him to call later when I was at home.

When we got home I played games and surfed.  Tony called to say he wasn't coming until tomorrow.  Surprise surprise.  Hooch called later and we worked out what was happening with the search.  It's been started, but will likely take a while.  I'd caused some additional confusion because the Yahoo mail app wasn't displaying all of the title company's emails.

Ellen fixed meat loaf and corn for dinner.  After dinner I went for a walk.  After that was surfing.

Tuesday, August 24, 2021

Day 2098

We got up at 8, did the pet stuff and had breakfast.  Then we left to take the Audi to get it's oil changed.  Before we left they called to say they wouldn't have a loaner for us and we'd have to wait two hours.

We got there a little early and there was no one there to help us.  After about 15 minutes someone showed up.  That put me in a good mood.  We sat around the place for two hours before they called us.  The showroom had two cars in it, both used.  I love Biden.

Hooch had to go get a shot, so we went to lunch at Tom's Pancake House.  It's as good as I remember.  Then we made a short stop at Tammie's for some more paint.  Then it was off to Hooch's place.

We spent 3 or 4 hours there.  Then they had to go take kids places.  It was a bad time to go home - 4:30.  I took the back road through Sherwood.  It took half an hour to get to the Wilsonville Costco.  We didn't stop there, but we stopped at a hobby store and a pizza place there.  By the time we were finished the traffic had cleared.  We got home a little before 7.

I drained the tanks and then surfed looking at RC truck things.  Tony called.  He said he was going to come down tomorrow after he moved furniture into his condo, bought tires and rims, and got stuff out of his storage unit.  Sure.  I hope he gets this out of his mind.  He alluded to me paying for the tires, I ignored it.  He wanted me to make his hotel reservation.  I gave him the hotel's number.

After that I went back to looking at RC things.  It's fun.

Monday, August 23, 2021

Day 2097

We got up at 8, did the pet stuff, had breakfast, and left for Joe's place.  I drove the truck and Ellen drove the car.  We left the truck at Joe's and then drove to Woodburn.  We needed to get milk and bananas at Safeway.

It was cold in the morning, low 50's, so we stopped at Dutch Brothers for coffee.  On the way home we stopped a Baumann's for corn and the post office.  When we got home I started shopping for an RC truck kit.  Unfortunately Tammie's doesn't have one in stock, but there's a place in Happy Valley that does.  I may go there on Wednesday.

I spent most of the rest of the afternoon happily shopping for the truck.  I did a little video viewing on the one I want to buy also.  It looks really cool, but it's going to be pretty difficult to put together.  I also found that you can really sink money into upgrades.  A set of cool tires costs over $100.

Just before dinner Yo called.  Apparently Tony was there twice yesterday.  On the first stop he was sane.  He left and came back later raving.  Yo hadn't got the write up on dealing with Bipolar people that I'd texted him, so he sent it again.

Ellen fixed stir fry for dinner.  After dinner we watched TV for the rest of the evening.  I watched the 5th Element just because I love the movie.

Sunday, August 22, 2021

Day 2096.

I woke up at 8:30.  After games it was up for pet stuff and breakfast.  It was cold today.  It didn't get above 65.  We didn't feel like doing anything, so we didn't.

I did some surfing and a little shopping.  I thinking about buying a RC truck kit.  I think it will be fun to put together.  I also watch several videos and a movie, all on my tablet.  All in all it was a good day.

Ellen fixed BLT's for dinner.  Afterwards we watched three TV movies in a row.  They were all good ones.

Saturday, August 21, 2021

Day 2095

I woke up at 8, but played games until 10.  Then it was pet stuff and breakfast.  After that I brought in the air brush and unpacked it.  I assembled it while Ellen read the manual.  Apparently it's a pretty good one.  Once the assembly was done I stayed inside and marked the parts to be painted.  Ellen went out to practice.

She called me out to help her.  The compressors turned on for a short time and then stopped.  It wouldn't do anything else.  The instructions were almost non-existent.  After some time on the web she found that the regulator probably needed adjustment.  Of course the documentation didn't mention a regulator, much less how to adjust it.  I messed around with it a little more and finally figured out that an unlabeled knob on top of the compressor had to be pulled up and turned to make the adjustment.  After that it worked fine.

I went back in to finish labeling parts.  Ellen finished practicing and took some parts to be painted.  While she was doing that I pulled some weeds in the gravel that had been irritating me.  It rained a little last night which made them fairly easy to pull.

After that it was lunch, a sandwich.  That was followed by surfing and TV.  Ellen fixed hamburgers and french fries for dinner.  It was really good.

After dinner was mainly TV with a little surfing.

Two side notes: Devon is still hissing at Cooper, although maybe a little less.  Cooper spends a lot of time with me to hide from Devon.  I've quit working on helping Tony.  His outburst yesterday convinced me that he can't be helped until he realizes that he needs to take his drugs.  I will continue to learn about the liens, mainly because I'd already started the process.

Day 2094

I got up at 8, played games for a little while and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  Devon is still hissing at Cooper, but not as much.  I didn't have anything to do this morning, so I spent a lot of it surfing.  I did try to set up learning about the condo liens, but it's a work in progress.

Because Cooper is so upset by Devon he spent a large portion of the morning in my arms.  That was cool, but it made surfing difficult.  We had leftovers for lunch.

After lunch we went out to buy cat food.  That turned into getting paint for the airbrush.  Michael's didn't have what we wanted, so we went to a Hobby store on Market.  They did have what we wanted.  On the way back we decided we needed a couple of other things, so we went back to Michael's.

Tony called while we were driving.  He said he wanted to come down in a couple of days.  I told him fine, but let me know when.  Ellen is not amused.  He sounded sane though.

After the second trip to Michael's we stopped at Hops and Drops for an appetizer and a Long Island Ice Tea.  The final stop was the grocery store.

When we got back we went back to TV and some surfing.  Yo called.  Tony had come by and was a little manic.  I told him that was surprising due to the way he sounded on the phone.  Yo said the condo wasn't rented and Tony was staying there.  He also said that Tony's car is a wreck and Tony has a large, maybe $14K, credit card bill.  Sigh.

After that I continued surfing.  A couple of hours later Yo called again.  Tony was there and  Yo put him on speaker.  Tony was acting irrationally.  He refused to take his pills and stated over and over that he wasn't bi-polar. He finally stormed out.  I talked a little bit more with Yo.  I told him to support Tony when he was acting sane and tell him to leave when he isn't.

That kind of put a bad end to what had been a nice day.  Oh well.  Ellen fixed me a grilled ham and cheese sandwich for dinner.  It was good.

After dinner was a lot of TV and a little surfing.

Thursday, August 19, 2021

Day 2093

I woke up about 8, played games, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After a small amount of surfing I called the residential mental health place about Tony.  I got about half way through the conversation with them when Hooch called.  I cut them short and talked to Hooch.

I learned a lot.  The condo is not part of the estate.  After Hooch paid off the promissory note Tony owns it.  He can't sell it though because of the liens on it.  Also, some of the money is available now if need be.  Also, Washington has a COVID law that doesn't allow Tony to take over the condo.

I asked Hooch if the people he was working for could find out how much the liens were for.  He said he'd ask.  Other than that, he doesn't want to be involved.  I understand that.

All this allowed me to formulate a plan.  I won't try to do anything unless Tony goes back on the meds.  If he does I'll try to set up something the addresses the condo liens and continues to insure that the card he uses remains active and useful.  I'll give him a call asking how he feels and telling him I'll help if he takes his drugs.  I feel a lot better now.

All this took until time to leave to go to the vet.  We took Cooper along because he looked so anxious when we left with Devon.  Devon got his shots and a clean bill of health.  We stopped at Tammies to buy an airbrush.  We also got some paint and a little N scale building.

We stopped at the bagel place for lunch and the liquor store for scotch.

It was a really nice day.  We put the cats in the laundry room and sat out on the deck drinking and talking.  Eventually we had dinner.  After dinner conversation took second place to the internet.

The cats were non-linear when I went to get them  Devon was in the cat box screaming at Cooper.  Cooper was on top of the washer/dryer stack screaming at Devon.  I couldn't get bothe of them in the carrier, so Ellen had to hold Cooper all the way home.

When we got home we put everything away and went to bed.  Cooper is scared of Devon and Devon keeps screaming at Cooper. I thought we could avoid this if we took them both.  Oh well.  Perhaps things will be better tomorrow.

Wednesday, August 18, 2021

Day 2092

I woke up at 8 and played games until 9.  Then it was time for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that I went outside and set up for the sewer guy.  When that was done there was nothing to do but wait for him.  We spent the time surfing and watching TV.  I did manage to make appointments for oil changes on the truck and the car.

The sewer guy was back to his usual time of 3:00.  Filling the tank with the the flush and the wand makes the task go faster.  Once we were done I went back into the trailer and continued with surfing and TV.

It was a nice day until Yo called.  He's cutting Tony loose.  Right now he doesn't know where Tony is.  Apparently Tony isn't taking the new meds and is coming by to rant at Yo and make Yo's father nervous.  Dan isn't going to have much to do with Tony, so I'm left holding the bag.

I left Dan a message, but he didn't call back.  I need to find out what the state of Tony's trust is.  Dan also has to get control of the rent payments on the condo.  I spent some time looking for a place Tony might live.  I found one in Vancouver, I'll call them tomorrow.  After that I'll try calling Tony and see ho he's doing.  i also need to call the social worker in Seattle.

I was too upset to have dinner.  I did go for a walk.  After that it was surfing again.

Tuesday, August 17, 2021

Day 2091

I woke up at 8, but spent quite a while playing games.  Then it was up for pet stuff, breakfast, and leaving to do the wash.  The laundromat was uneventful.  We even got "our" old machines back.

After the wash we stopped at Wells Cargo to get my name on the credit card.  They couldn't do it.  They said to call the number on the card.  That's after waiting for almost half an hour in line.  We stopped at Safeway even though we were there yesterday.  We bought cereal and meat.

It was cool today, in the 60's.  I tried to go to Dutch Bros., but there were 7 cars in line.  We just went home instead.  Lunch was a $4 pizza from Safeway.

I tried to schedule an oil change for the Audi.  I was put on terminal hold and eventually left a message.  They never called back.

I did some surfing while I drained part of the water out of the shower tank.  The sewer guy gets here tomorrow.  There are two little frogs living in the compartment by the water valves.  They're cute.  After that I reloaded the 20 ga that Ellen shot yesterday.  I only have one bag of shot left.

Ellen fixed pork chops and potatoes for dinner.  After dinner was TV until about 9.  After that there wasn't anything on.  I watched Discovery+ instead.

Monday, August 16, 2021

Day 2090

I woke up at 8:30, got up and did pet stuff and breakfast.  After that it was a short surfing session.   I also left a message for Joe to see about getting the truck worked on.

Then we got ready and went shooting.  It was a nice morning - not too hot.  There were only about 10 stations, the others were still set up for FITASC.  We had fun anyway.  I shot pretty well because the floaters weren't too bad.  It was fun.

When we got back we had lunch, sandwiches.  Then I loaded up the garbage and we took it to the dumpster.  It was a very full sack.  After that it was off to Safeway for groceries.  We stopped at Bauman's on the way back.  We got some good corn, and believe it or not some strawberries.  The last stop was the post office.

I was pretty tired when we got back, so the rest of the afternoon was surfing and TV.  I did look at the financial report for one of the accounts.  Over the first 7 months of the year it's done very well.

Ellen fixed sausage, potatoes, and corn on the cob for dinner.  After dinner we watched TV - a couple of Hobbit movies.  They were better than I thought they would be.

Sunday, August 15, 2021

Day 2089

I'm not sure when I got up, probably around 9.  After pet stuff and breakfast there was nothing to do except surf.  Ellen shot the second day of the tournament at 11.  I spent the whole morning listening to YouTube videos describing how people had gotten revenge on someone who had wronged them.  Clearly a lot of it was fiction.

I had a grocery store salad for lunch.  Then it was more surfing, videos, and games in the afternoon.  Dinner was a frozen dinner.

We turned the TV on after dinner, but there wasn't much on.  I went for a walk.  I'm going to try to limit my sugar intake and do a walk every night.  I'm getting really fat.

Saturday, August 14, 2021

Day 2088

I woke up about 8, played games, and did the pet stuff and had breakfast.  After that I went outside and drained the tanks.

Ellen shot at 2, so there was no reason to go anywhere.  Instead I played games and surfed.  I pretty much spent the whole day doing that.

Ellen did pretty good shooting FITASC.  She's got the second part of the tournament tomorrow.

Dinner was leftovers.  After dinner I loaded Discovery+ on my tablet.  It's like NetFlix, lots of stuff to choose from.  I watched a documentary about an Egyptian archeological dig.

Friday, August 13, 2021

Day 2088

I woke up before 8, but played games until 10.  Ellen did the pet stuff, but I still had breakfast.  After breakfast it was more game playing and some surfing.  A social worker called to talk about Tony.  He wanted some family history and I gave it to him.  I thought Tony was in the nut hatch.

By 1 that was getting really old.  I decided to go to Sportsman's Warehouse to see if we could get some 20 ga competition loads.  Yo called just as we were leaving.  Apparently Tony is with him and all is rosy.  Yo called the police and the social worker last night.  Somehow that calmed him down, or at least made him act straight.  I talked to Tony for a while, too.  He sounded really out of it.  Maybe they have him drugged up.

Apparently they have set up two doctor appointments.  One is soon, and the other is 9/3.  I'm really not sure.  Yo is hard to understand and the fact that I don't hear on the phone well doesn't make it any better.  I only get about half of what he's saying.  I told them to write down the doctor's instructions and read them every day.  I also told them that if the drugs cause unwanted complications, tell the doctor.  They can change meds.  The conversation trailed off into trvialities, so I ended it.

We finally got to Sportsman's Warehouse.  The prices were crazy.  $100/case for gun club 20 ga.  Screw that.  $29 for a box of 50 white box 9mm.  I'm glad I don't need to buy any.  We stopped at McGrath's Fish House on the way back.  It was good, but the prices have definitely gone up.

It was high 90's when we got home.  I watched TV and did a little surfing.  Dinner was the leftover Arby's sandwich from yesterday.  After dinner was more TV until about 9.  Then it was surfing because there wasn't anything on TV.

Thursday, August 12, 2021

Day 2087

I woke up a little before 8 and played games until after 9.  I was on a hot streak.  I did the pet stuff and breakfast and then went back to playing games.  I played until about 1.

While I was playing Ellen redid the sealing on the shower.  She used new caulk and new tape.  She said the new role of tape was much better than the old one.

Yo called.  Tony came home last evening and talked Yo's ear off for hours.  Apparently Yo didn't get any sleep.  Yo called the social workers.  They said make a doctor's appointment, so he did. He told me he didn't know what to do, as he didn't want to drive Tony and having Tony drive or use a taxi was ouit.  Apparently Tony is that manic.  Then he said the social worker said use an ambulance.  So I told him that's what he'll have to do.  The guy has great problem solving skills.

When Ellen was finished with the shower I decided she need lunch.  I also needed to deposit the life insurance check.  We went to the Wells Cargo in Keizer.  There was an Arby's across the street, so that's where we ate.  Then we went to Feddie's, mainly to walk around.  The excuse was bananas and orange juice.  Yo called while we were there, but I didn't answer.  I'm limiting him to one call a day.

It was 100 degrees by the time we got home.  We hid out in the trailer for the rest of the day.  It's 80 right now at 10.

Ellen fixed Polish sausage ad corn on the cob for dinner.  It was good.  After dinner was more game playing mixed with TV.

Wednesday, August 11, 2021

Day 2086

I'm ot sure when I woke up, but I played games until after 9.  Then it was up for pet stuff and breakfast.  The first order of business was a haircut.

It was almost 80 when Ellen started cutting my hair.  It was also very hazy.  We couldn't see hood and could barely see the hills to the East.  It might be fires - either to our east or up from CA.

When that was done I reloaded the ammo Ellen shot the other day.  It went well until the last 3 shells.  Oh well.

By then it was getting pretty hot.  I went back inside and didn't go back out for the rest of the day.  I did a little surfing and then had a sandwich for lunch.  After lunch was surfing, videos, and games.

Ellen fixed stir fry for dinner.  After dinner was a Bond movie and some other TV.

Tuesday, August 10, 2021

Day 2085

We woke up about 8, played games and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  Then we loaded up the truck and went to the laundromat.

For the first time I can remember some illegals were using the washer we normally use.  We use them because they aren't used often and hence aren't overloaded with laundry soap.  We had to go to another pair of machines.  One was loaded with soap.  There was so much soap that we had to run the load in that washer twice.  It was still soapy.

We finally got out of there.  We stopped at Safeway for lunch meat.  Then it was Walgreen's for drugs.  We needed batteries and water, so we went down to Costco.  It's an 18 mile drive.  After that it was post office and home.

It was hot by the time we got home.  I put everything away and drained the tanks.  Then I watched videos until dinner.  We had leftover sloppy Joes.  After dinner we watched Minions movies.

Day 2084

I woke up at 9, played games for a while, then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  That made for a late start on the day.  I went outside and unloaded the stuff I got from Hooch.  I put most of it in the shed, some in the basement.  After that it was still fairly cool, so we went out shooting.

Ellen practiced low gun with her 20.  She's shooting FITASC this weekend.  I used the 12.  She did remarkably well.  I sucked.  It was fun though.  Several of the stations were actually entertaining.  We didn't get finished until after 1.

We needed a bunch of groceries.  We left for the Keizer grocery about 2.  I figured In-n-Out wouldn't be to busy.  WRONG.  We wended up going to Mickey D's.  After that we got the groceries and went home.  It was 4 by the time we got back.

We watched TV until dinner (leftovers).  After dinner Yo called.  Apparently he and Tony had a fight and Yo kicked him out.  Yo has his 80 year old father to take care of, so his patience is thin.  I learned that Tony is renting out his condo for money.  I don't know where he'll be staying.  I'm torn.  Part of me wants to try to help.  The other part knows that it's useless to try.

After that it was some videos, a little game playing, and bed.

Day 2083

I woke up about 8, did the pet stuff and had breakfast.  After that it was surfing until the safe moving guy showed up.

We loaded up the garbage and went to the club.  I got there a little early and cleared out the area around the safes.  That made it easy for them to load them up.  We left the club before 11.

We dropped off the first safe at Dan's.  He had kind of a tight space, so it took a little time to get it positioned.  Ellen stayed there while I went over to John and Patty's.  That went easier because the space John had was bigger.  When the safe was done John and I had some trouble getting the combo to work.  It was mainly operator error.  Then the three of us talked for quite a while.

It was almost 2 by the time I left.  I stopped at the DQ on Farmington for lunch - Mickey D's was way too busy.  When I got back Hooch, Martha, and Ellen had just finished divvying up Mo's jewelry.  Then Hooch dragged me upstairs to go through the cedar chest.  We kept some stuff and threw some other stuff away.  I got Grandfather's reading glasses.  I'm going to use them.

Hooch and family were leaving for and evening function.  We went back to John and Patty's.  We ate pizza and then talked until after 9.  We got home about 10:15.

Day 2082

I woke up a little after 8, played games, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After breakfast I wen out to drain the tanks.  They weren't full, but I would have had to drain them tomorrow and I don't want to do it then.

It was really nice outside this morning, so I sat outside for hours surfing and playing games.  It was much better than sitting inside.  There was no question of shooting, there were too many people here on a Saturday.

The shade finally went away by the trailer, so I went inside.  I did a little surfing and then had a sandwich for lunch.  After that it was surfing and TV until dinner.

Just before dinner Hooch started texting me.  Apparently Tony has gone off the deep end due to a long time friend of his dying.  Yo called Hooch.  Of course Hooch doesn't care.  He told me I might want to call.  So I did.  I talked to Yo for quite a while kind of using "management counseling" on him.  While I was doing that Ellen found a social service organization in Seattle that seems to be a good resource.  I gave the info to Yo and he seemed to be better.

I finally got to eat dinner - sloppy joes.  After that it was watching the Olympics for the rest of the evening.

Day 2081

I woke up about 8 and played games for a while.  Then it was up for pet stuff and breakfast.  I'd planned on shooting today, but somehow that didn't happen.  I just ended up surfing and watching TV instead.

I decided I wanted to go to Hops and Drops for lunch.  So I waited until 1:30.  We went to Keizer and stopped for cat food first.  By then it was after noon, so we got happy hour prices.  We ordered 3 appetizers and took one home for dinner.

We stopped for fuel on the way home - $4/gal.  Fucking Biden.  Then we went to Woodburn, ostensibly to get a flashlight.  I actually went because I didn't feel like going home.  After that we did go home.

The rest of the afternoon was TV and surfing.  We gave up on the Olympic though and watched shows we'd recorded.

Dinner was the appetizer.

Day 2080

I woke up at 8, played games, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  We had to wait for the sewer guy today, so we really couldn't do anything.  I did get the wand ready.

That meant that the morning was spent on TV and reading.  I decided to read magazines instead of surf.  I finished 3 today - the first I've read since May.

The sewer guy showed up about 1.  I was surprised, I thought he'd be later.  The wand I made for Ellen to use sure makes the process easier.  When he was finished I drained the sink tank and put everything away.

After that we needed some groceries.  I didn't feel like going anywhere, so Ellen went alone.  I continued to read and watch TV.

Dinner was leftovers.  After dinner we got sick of the Olympics and watched a TV movie instead.

Day 2079

We were woken up at 8 by a phone call saying the sewer guy wouldn't come until tomorrow.  So we played games for a while and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  Then I went ouitside and got ready to empty the safes.

I took all of the gifts we have for Hooch and family and put them in the car.  They were scattered all over.  I also partially drained the shower tank so we could take showers tonight.  I also cleaned out the basement, moving most of what was there to the shed.  Finally I put the tote containing the cases in the car.

We took the car to the club and opened the safes.  We loaded about half the guns into cases and took them back to the trailer.  Surprisingly they all fit inside with some room to spare.  We needed more cases, so we went to BiMart.  We bought them out of cases and then bought some more at Big-5.  By then it was lunch time, so we ate at Shari's.

The food at Shari's was good, but the service wasn't.  It was slow, and not good.  The waitress didn't come back to ask about the food  We waited for 20 minutes after we finished eating, then I tracked her down to get my dessert.  When she bought it she didn't clear the table.  Ellen left a much smaller tip than we usually leave.

When we got back we stopped at the club and emptied the safes.  They are now ready to go.  I put the contents in the basement.  I may move them in a few days.

By then it was after 3 and we were both hot and tired.  So we turned on the TV and watched the Olympics until dinner.  Dinner was frozen enchiladas.  After dinner was more Olympics until time to go to bed.

Day 2078

I woke up a little before 8 and played games for about an hour.  Then it was up for breakfast, pet stuff, and leave for the laundromat.

Our tie at the laundromat was uneventful.  We went to Walgreen's afterwards.  Then we went to the company stores to get some shorts at Columbia.  We ended up walking all over the place.  We bought jewelry for the nieces and shoes for Ellen.  When that was done we ate lunch at Elmer's.

We'd wanted to go to Elmer's several times, but it was always too crowded.  This time it wasn't, probably because it was almost 2:00.  The food was really good, and it was nice to sit in a real restaurant.  Then we stopped at the post office on the way home.

I put everything away and then hid out in the trailer.  It was high 90's again today.  I surfed and we watched the Olympics.

Ellen fixed BLT's for dinner.  After dinner was more TV.

Day 2077

I woke up at 8:30, played games, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that I sent out a bunch of emails to cement moving the safes next weekend.  Everything seems to be a go.

I really didn't feel like doing a damn thing today, so I didn't.  I surfed, played games, watched videos, and watched TV.  That's all.  I didn't leave the trailer all day.  It was really nice.

Ellen fixed salmon and noodles for dinner.  It was really good.

Day 2076

I woke up a little after 8, played games, and got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that it was surfing and draining the tanks.

Dave was selling ammo relatively cheaply, so I took the truck over to pick some up.  I put the garbage and bottles in the truck first.  We left off the garbage and bought 4 cases of ammo.  Then we went to the post office.  The membrane switch that the lock place forgot to send me was there.  Finally, we drove down to Roth's and turned in the bottles to charity.

By then it was getting hot.  We went home and had lunch.  After that it was really hot - high 90's.  We hid out in the trailer and watched the Olympics.  At some point I had a nap.

Dinner was leftovers.  After dinner we watched the last couple of episodes of Hawaii 5-0 (new version).  We still have 8 or so of the earlier seasons to watch.  It's entertaining.

I might try to practice with the 12 ga tomorrow.
