Day 2127

We woke up about 8 and stayed in bed until 9.  Then it was pet stuff and breakfast.  After breakfast it was a little surfing and then I decided to work on the train building.

The building uses some weird decals that I'd never seen before. you cut them out, rub them on the model part, and then remove a top plastic covering.  It took a while to get it right.  Also, there weren't any instructions on where to put them.  After they were finished I wanted to glue on some parts.  Unfortunately Ellen didn't paint the parts I needed to start with.

When I was done I packed up the model and put it in a cabinet.  I put the tools back in the shed and loaded some ammo into the gun cart.  We got out all of the stuff and went shooting.  I shot OK, but not great.  Ellen sucked.  It was fun though, especiall because the weather was great.

We stopped at the club on the way back.  Hooch had called and said he want to meet at TCGC on Friday.  We're going to meet hi there.  I wanted to get some more ammo and talk to the guys from Shot For The Cure.  Unfortunately we won't be abe to shoot because we have the dentist tomorrow.

We hauled the ammo back to the trailer and put everything away.  I was about to get a late lunch when I went  looking for Cooper.  He wasn't in the trailer.  There was a little piece of Styrofoam on the floor that we couldn't figure out where it came from.  I was really disturbed.

I spent the next hour+ looking outside for Cooper.  I walked all the way out to station 5, around the pipes, inside the pipe, under the house deck, and in the trees by the trailer.  No Cooper.  I'd written hi off.

I went to clean my gun because the chokes barely came out.  I wasn't hungry anymore.  Just before I was done Ellen opened the basement.  Cooper was inside the basement.  We didn't know how he got there.  As I was putting the gun away everything clicked.  I removed the bottom pan drawer.  To the left of it was the hot water tank with part of the insulation chewed off.  The area back there had an easy pathway for a cat to get to the basement wall.

I went out to the shed to get some spray insulation to patch up the water heater, but it was fried up.  Then I opened up the basement.  It was easy to see how Cooper could climb over the basement wall and into the basement.

Apparently Ellen had left the drawer partially open.  She does that a lot.  Cooper had opened the drawer (he likes to do that) and climbed behind.  He, and maybe Devon, had chewed on the insulation.  Then Devon had gotten out and closed the drawer.  Cooper had no where to go except the basement.  Luckily I'd moved the cat food bags to the plastic container in the morning.

Devon is back to screaming at Cooper again.  He's actually getting very mean.  I hope it doesn't tak him another 3 days to calm down.

Between walking the course and then the search for Cooper I was very tired.  Dinner was a frozen breakfast and some rolls.  After that I sat in the recliner and played games.  I also took a nap.  I woke up, watched a little more TV and went to bed about 10.

At least there isn't a coyote out there somewhere munching on Cooper.
