I got up when the alarm went off. I'm trying to make a habit of that. After all, it's an hour later than I got up when I was working.
I started working on a Minions concert. Unfortunately I screwed up and ran out of time before I had all of the items. Another concert started immediately and I did complete that. Then I got out of bed because the only thing I can do is start a party and I don't feel like doing one today.
After breakfast I went out to the garage and did battle with the flash hider for the 6.5 upper. It took some effort, but I was successful. Then I just killed time surfing. Ellen caught up on the bill paying that's fallen behind while she was in the hospital. I was glad when she transferred over the $1,444 that I've spent since she went in. Hey, that's less than 1 month's check.
An estate sale in Belterra opened at noon. So we went there. We took the dog because one of us could babysit her if necessary. The estate sale had some interesting stuff, but the only things I bought were some wasp spray, an extension cord, and some Nite-eze ties. After that we stopped at McCoy's to buy some bug spray. The big group of daddy longleg spiders by the front door is getting big enough to be worrisome. At night they spread out and cover the whole wall. They also bounce their bodies up and down in a weird way. The other night there was a scorpion on the porch ceiling hunting them.
We ate lunch at Sonic and then stopped at the post office. There was a wreck Westbound at 290 and 70. Traffic was backed up well past the post office. We ran the dog at the elementary school. She did 15 retrieves, which was pretty good for how hot it was. Lee called while we were there asking about what machines to buy. I told him I'd answer him later.
We stopped at Tomlinson's and HEB on the way back. Ellen stayed with the dog at HEB while I got the food. While I was in the store Hooch called. He wanted to know how Ellen was doing. I told him and suggested he call her because she was just waiting in the truck. He said that it looked like Intel will buy him the shotgun.
When I got home I spent more than an hour writing up a bunch of stuff for Lee about what machines to buy and what he needs to think about when he puts on a shoot.
The 6.5 magazines came today, so I got out the labeler and labelled them, the 6.8, and the 300 magazines. I need to seal the labels and then they will be done. While I got out the labeler I noticed that the water softener was totally out of salt. I put in three bags and set it to regen. I'll see what happens tomorrow.
The rest of the evening was watching TV and reading.
