Day 2757

We woke up a little before 8.  We'd only been awake a few minutes when the sewer guy showed up.  I scrambled to put on seat pants, sweat shirt, and shoes and get outside.  I got the panel unlocked and started the dump.  Then I hurriedly set up the hose for Ellen and got back to the sewer guy.

I had to get things done quickly.  The truck wasn't cooperating.  He didn't have a broken connector this time, but I couldn't open the valve freely without overflowing things.  That meant I had to do two partial fill/dumps before it was clean enough for him to leave.

The tank wasn't really filled, so I ended up putting 5 gallons in and then draining it through the old water hose.  I did that three times.  In addition I back flushed with the grey water tank.  The result wasn't perfect, but it was pretty good.

Along the way I noticed that the short input hose on the fresh water input was 1//2 inch.  I replaced it with a 5/8 inch one.  I also replaced the screen.  I was half clogged and rusted.  Maybe that will give us better water pressure.  It took at least 1.5 hours from the time the sewer guy showed up until I had everything put away.

I went into the trailer for breakfast.  After that I once again repaired the screen door guard.  This time I fixed it in place with silicon.  Then I went to work redoing the Starlink cable.  I didn't want it just coming in the window.  I first tried a panel inset in the window.  That didn't work, so I decided to bite the bullet and drill a hole in the trailer.

Eventually I got a hole drilled and the cable routed.  It wasn't easy.  I had to drill the hole in the cabinet using the conical bit because the real hole bit was too long.  When I tried to drill the outside hole I hit a structural member.  After repositioning the hole I needed an extension to reach all the way up to the bottom of the cabinet.  We had some trouble fishing 75 feet of cable through the holes.  Securing the cable inside the cabinet was really awkward.  I ended up with a cut on my forehead from the door latch.  Did I mention we had to take the pole down, remove the cable, and then put everything back up also?

It was after 1 by the time we were done.  We went to Woodburn for lunch at the Chinese place.  They allow inside seating now.  Then I stopped at the hardware store for some stuff.  The final stops were Dutch Brothers and Safeway.

It was 4:30 when we got back.  After some surfing I fed the cats and sat down in the recliner.  I woke up and hour and a half later.  I was very tired.

Dinner was a leftover pizza.  After dinner I started searching Amazon for something to store the Starlink cable in.  I was going to use a sewer hose holder.  That's going to be awkward though, so I started looking for a metal box.  I may have found one, but I'll have to do some measurements before ordering.
