I woke up a little after 8 and fed the cats. Then we took Abby for a walk. We did the pigeon loop. She performed as usual with long fast runs and mostly obedience. We did have to zap her once when she was way out in the north field.
When we got home we had breakfast and surfed. Then I went out to the shed. I decided that the new Mojave Grom light was too big, so I started to modify it. I used the Dremel to cut the case into pieces. I still need to fabricate a new back plate, but it was time to go to the fair.
We left Abby at home. The fair is no fun with a dog.
We started by going through the animal buildings. We looked over goats, pigs, and draft horses. Then we looked over the bunnies and assorted other small animals. It was going to be hot, so we walked through all of the outside vendors. We didn't see anything worth buying.
They were having a draft horse competition, so we watched that. By then we were hungry, so we had $16 gyros for lunch. After that we went through all of the buildings looking at the crafts competitions, indoor vendors, and art competition. We bought two hummingbird feeders, one for us and one for Martha.
The final activity was eating the traditional elephant ear. It was good.
We got home about 4:30. We were pretty tired. Ellen said that we'd walked 12,000 steps. I sat down for videos and ended up napping until dinner (frozen).
After dinner was more videos until an early bedtime.
