I woke up a little after 7 and played games for quite a while. Then it was up for pet stuff and breakfast. After that was a little surfing before I started work on the Subaru.
I hooked up the battery and bound the receiver to the second FlySky transmitter. When I tested the steering I found that the servo arm was connected in the wrong place. I had to take the front partially apart to remove the servo and reposition the arm. Fortunately that wasn't particularly hard, just time consuming.
With that done I calibrated the throttle, trimmed the steering, and set the steering limits. It took me a while to remember how to do all of it.
The last stop was programming the ESC. I updated the firmware, but the new programmer wouldn't recognize the ESC. Fortunately I could use the phone app to do the programming.
The final step was to test the lights. They didn't work. A little debugging showed that I'd connected the body side of the magnets wrong. I removed them and corrected the problem. After that the car is officially DONE. A side note- it's really fast.
After that there was a lot of cleanup to do. I stopped for lunch first and to watch the Ukraine video. Then I took everything to the bedroom. I had to rearrange the bedroom to make room for the new car. I also went through the documentation and threw away the duplicates.
I got on line and I think I know how to update the programmer. I'll try it tomorrow.
Tomorrow I'll program the Jeep and the BBX. It should go pretty quickly since I just did the drill.
The rest of the day was videos and surfing.
It was really warm today, 67 with a little rain. It's supposed to thunderstorm tonight and tomorrow morning. That's fine with me, we need the rain.
