Day 3168

I woke up about 8 and played games for a while.  Then it was up for pet stuff and breakfast.  When I finished I went outside to run the MT10.

I had a lot of fun running it on the grass.  It was even more fun running it on the dirt in the farmer's area.  It seemed a little slow though.  As the battery was running out I drove it back to the trailer.  Abby was out and she had a great time chasing it around.  I discovered that it ran MUCH faster in reverse than it did going forward.  Then the battery died.  I took it back to the shed to work on later.

We took Abby for a walk around the course.  She was running faster than yesterday, but not full speed.  She got a lot of miles in though because we walked to the far side where she ran through the grass field.  It's been cut, so she could go far and fast.

When we got back to the trailer I did some surfing.  Ellen watched a chick flick.  I got bored and went back to the shed to work on the MT10.  That's when the Chinese instructions got me.  I kept trying to program the ESC throttle response, but it wouldn't work.  I gave up on that and tried to reverse the motor rotation by switching the leads like it said in the instructions.  I tried all the different combinations.  None worked.  Finally I gave up on the ESC and changed the setting on the transmitter.  That worked.  Now I'll have 100% power in forward rather than 25%.

I put the MT10 away and started to build up some charging cables for the mini-b's.  I got the wires prepped, but didn't feel like doing the soldering.  I'll do that some other time.  I also recharged the MT10 battery.  The new charger is nice.  It did the 2200 mAh battery in less than 15 minutes.

By the it was getting hot (93 degrees).  I went back inside for a little surfing followed by videos.  That turned into a nap.

Ellen fixed stir fry for dinner.  After dinner was videos.  I found some cool travel videos about people living on 1000 meter cliffs in China.  I also found some about weird homemade transportation rigs in the poorer countries.

I go to Costco tomorrow.  Hopefully they can fix the ringing in my hearing aid.
