We woke up this morning and the weather was iffy. While we did the wash it got worse. By the time we got to Dan's place it was clear that this wasn't a fishing day.
We went to lunch at Annie's while Dan put the boat away. The roofers were finally working on their place, so they really wanted to hang around.
Lawrence stopped it on the street and told us that the rod blank I ordered might not work. We went over with Dan. We talked a little about how we might change things, but decided to leave it the way it was. We also agreed to buy him 5 reel seats. One will be for the Navy Seal rod that he's building, and the rest are for him to make money on.
It was good that we didn't try to fish. While we were at Lawrence's a real windstorm came up. It was really nasty for awhile.
When we got back to Dan's place he was just going to have a nap. So we told him we'd go home. Ellen had to do some computer work anyway. She also ordered the reel seats.
We never did get back over to Dan's place. We figured they needed a day without us.
