I woke up about 7 and dozed in bed until a little before 8. Cooper spent the whole night sleeping against me. I think he's worried with both Ellen and Devon gone. The vet called a little after 8. Devon is doing alright, but his eyelid is drooping and there's a lot of drainage. They are going to keep him another day. I did the pet stuff and had breakfast. I tried to cut Cooper's nails - that didn't go well. I stopped when I cut one too short.
I spent all of yesterday stressing because I'd lost my knife. It turns out I didn't. I'd taken it out of my pants to use it the day before. When I put it back, I put it in the wrong pants. I found it this morning. I'm very happy. I'd searched the extra pants yesterday, but somehow I'd missed one pocket. I almost missed it when I rechecked today.
There's an estate sale in Lakeway that I wanted to go to today, but the address wasn't available until 9. So I looked at the other estate sales today but didn't find any others I was interested in. Then I surfed until it was time to go.
I got to the estate sale 15 minutes early. I was the first person in the door (there were only 2). The drill press I wanted was there. However, when I said I'd buy it they said it was already sold. Apparently they'd been taking phone sales for days. Assholes. I did buy some milling bits and a 2 axis vise. After that I stopped at HEB for a salad for lunch and headed to Silencer shop to get the accessories I needed.
Ellen called. Denney, she and the other old timers resigned from the board in protest of the way the board is giving the club to Dave. Apparently they've got the county to order that our septic be removed. Assholes. Dola also called. She wanted me to stop by.
Google was no help at all. It's maps for the area didn't show streets, much less street names. It's route had me turning the wrong way on 183. I ended up screwing around for half an hour before I found the place. After I got the accessories I ate the salad in the parking lot. I'd bought a roll for dessert, but Lucy ate that while I was in the store. I wasn't happy with her.
The drive back was uneventful. I paid 30 cents to take the toll lane. It only saved me a little time, but that was OK. I stopped at the post office and picked up the Bronco arm rest I ordered from Ebay. It's really nice, almost new. I stopped at Dola's and we had a good talk. She showed me their new truck and the trailer that they are going to travel in. It's a neat fold up unit.
When I got home I did my exercises and then took a shower. I had just enough time to feed the animals before it was time to go to Hog Heaven.
I allowed 30 minutes to get to Hog Heaven. That would have been plenty except there was a quarter mile backup at the end of 1826. Everyone was tying to turn left onto 150. I got through there and thanks to some serious exceeding of the speed limit I made it to Hog Heaven at exactly 5:30. They had just started the orientation.
It's good I went there. They are keeping score on tablets and there was a little necessary training on that. The whole thing took less than half an hour.
I was planning on stopping at the Salt Lick on the way back. Instead I ended up at a brewery on 150 just after turning off RR 12. I had a beer and a brisket sandwich from the roach coach there. They were both good.
When I got home I did a little surfing and then watched TV.
