We did the wash in the morning. It took longer than normal because one of the washing machines it broken.
We spent the rest of the day sitting around the phone. We got a couple of calls from the mortgage broker. It seems that we will get a better price from them than from the bank. We haven't seen the paperwork yet, so I'll believe it when I see it.
The realtor called to try to convince me to pay for the survey. She says that they have a quote for $750. I told them I'd see. We need to do the inspection first. She also sent me a copy of a document that purports to show that the sellers did a $4,500 upgrade to the septic system in mid-January. I say "purports" because the paper they sent me is a quote, not an invoice. I'll ask the inspector for his opinion on Thursday.
She also sent me a signed version of the contract that has us paying for the survey. We'll see.
