Day 211

Today was 9 hours of driving to Carson City.  We had to stop 2 times for road work.  One time we waited for 15 minutes just so they could paint the road.  The other time we got lucky and didn't have to wait.  Instead we had to drive 3 miles or so at under 10 miles an hour.

Other than that the only notable thing was the ripoff fuel prices in several places.  The drive itself was a long and boring as always.  The country in the rain shadow of the Sierra Nevadas is just as ugly, maybe more so, than southern New Mexico.

When we got to the park there were some strange clouds in the sky.  We went to the casino for dinner and did a little gambling.  When we started to leave it was raining - hard.  So we went back and gambled some more.  After awhile it cleared up and we walked back to the trailer.  There was a lot of loud thunder, but we didn't see any lightning.
