Day 401

We woke up with the alarm this morning.  We stayed in bed surfing until Eric called about 8:30.  That caused us to hurriedly get dressed and do the pert stuff.  We met them for breakfast at Waterloo Ice House.

We had a great time talking with them.  We suggested that they go to Pedernales state park, and they said they would.  We talked until about 10:30.  Then we went to the dog party.

Traffic up to the Spicewood exit was amazing.  We never went below the speed limit.  For a lot of the way we were doing 70 or better, right through the construction zone.

The dog party were fun.  There was about 50 or so dogs with their people there.  It was held at this large pet store with all sorts of foods and products that we hadn't seen before.  We bought several things to try out.  We also won a $25 gift card to a restaurant at the Domain.

The party ended about 1. There was a restaurant about an mile away down Burnett that allowed dogs.  So we went there for lunch.  It was actually a mini-golf place that they had converted into a dog park and outdoor restaurant.  I wasn't very hungry, Ellen was.  We both ended up having hotdogs and chips.  Lucy got a bowl of bacon flavored doggy ice cream.

After that we headed home.  They have recently changed the lanes near the Chavez exit.  The new lane markings are very confusing and everyone slows down going through there.  That produced a mile long traffic jam.

We stopped at Circle C to run the dog.  She acted like she wanted to run, but she really didn't.  She only did 3 or 4 retrieves.  There was an ice cream truck there and we both got ice creams, so it wasn't a total loss.

When we got home I did a little work on the switch board.  Then there was Minions and reading.  While I was doing that a light bulb in the living room fixture quit.  So I went out to the garage, got the ladder, and replaced it.

The rest of the evening was TV and reading.  I'm watching the Seahawks snatch defeat from the jaws of victory right now.
