Day 756

We got up at 8 today.  I keep waking up early and then having trouble getting back to sleep.  I guess I haven't adjusted to the time change yet.

After the pet stuff and breakfast I went out and finished the work on the rifle.  I bore sighted it and put all of the packaging in the apartment attic.  I also unpacked one of the boxes we bought down and put the stuff away.  After that I took some wrapping paper with me and went inside.

Ellen and I wrapped up the Christmas presents for John, Patty, and Vicki.  We boxed then up, but didn't have any packing material.  We put the cookies we bought then in a second box.  Botth went into the trunk of the car.

After lunch I went out and mowed the lawn.  It took me from 1:00 until about 3:15.  I'm not going to do the edging until I get the new edger.  It will do some of what's left, but I'll need to do some by hand also.

After a quick shower we left to mail the packages.  We had to stop at Office Depot first for packaging material.  The presents box cost $22 to ship.  The cookies $14 - more than the cookies cost.

We stopped at HEB on the way home because I was out of TV dinners.  We also ran the dog at the park.  She really wanted to run and did quite a few retrieves.  It's cooled off, so that may be why.

When we got home we had dinner.  I turned the TV on because I wanted background noise for some reason.  That turned into TV watching.  Of course there was some surfing, too.
