The dog woke us up at 6:40, so we decided to get up and get ready to leave. After pet stuff, breakfast, and hooking up we were on the road by 8.
We made a stop in Baker for fuel and then headed for Sisters. I took it easy on both the road out of Richland and the road to Sisters. Every time a curve was marked with a speed I slowed down to no more than 5 mph over the limit. It really didn't impact the time calculated by the GPS at all.
This is not my favorite drive. The route contains three passes, a lot of curves, and several podunk towns with low speed limits. I needed a "get there when we get there" attitude. It worked.
We got to the park about 2. We set up, fed the dog, and then took her to Sisters. The trees make Starlink not an option. It was a nice sunny day, not too hot. The trip was successful. We got a new spinner to replace the one the tree killed as well as a flamingo with googly eyes. We also got great milkshakes ($8.50). We also got some great steaks.
When we got back to the trailer Ellen fixed the steaks with potatoes. After that it was some cable TV and surfing. I went to bed early again.
