Day 3560

 I woke up a little after 7 and played games.  Then I got up to take Abby for a walk. When that was done I had breakfast and then cleaned the hair out of the shower drain.  There wasn't a lot there, but what was there was significantly restricting the water flow.

After that I did a couple of short chores and then surfed until Gerry and Travis showed up.  We had a great time shooting.  I actually shot OK, not great, but OK.  The weather was perfect.

Gerry and Travis wanted to take us to lunch to talk business.  We went to Hops and Drops.  I had shrimp, something I'd never had there.  It was great.  Ellen talked money with Gerry.  I talked everything else with Travis.  I tried to make sure that they knew we were happy with them.

When lunch was over we went home.  I started working on the computer.  It was just as unpleasant as I knew it was going to be.  I did a whole bunch of things:

1. Edited the registry to get the old version of explorer.

2. Discovered that the new USB drive that I'd used to make a backup of the old machine was faulty.

3. Spent hours copying directories onto a smaller drive and moving them to the new computer. 

 4. Fought with FireFox to get it's settings the way I want them.  I still have to figure out one thing.

5. Transferred 6 or more apps from the old machine to the new.

That whole process took the rest of the afternoon and evening.  The last things that I need to do are figure out the FireFox problem and uninstall all of the unwanted apps that were loaded onto the machine by the factory.

I'm tired and I'm going to bed.
