There isn't much to describe about an 8 hour trip through southern New Mexico and west Texas. It's just a place to get through ASAP. We battled a headwind, or a cross wind all day. I got between 7.5 and 8.5 mpg all day. That's expensive.
We're in Van Horn right now. This place has no socially redeeming value. At times the wind gusts hard enough to shake the trailer.
We lost an hour just before we got to Van Horn. I still plan to get up early and get to Fredericksburg as soon as I can tomorrow.
