Day 6

Lucy is really stoved up.  For the first time in her life she didn't immediately eat a bowl of food.  She actually laid on the coach for about 10 minutes before she got down to eat.  She has a couple of sore spots from her nails rubbing the sides of her toes.  She's also very stiff.  It was so bad that we drove over to Dan and Patsy's rather than make her walk.

The first order of business was to rescue the Mickey Mouse pillow from Hooch's hotel room.  That was easy to do, since they were cleaning the room when we walked up.  After that we messed around at Dan and Patsy's for most of the day.  In the afternoon we went over to Lawrence's and order the fishing poles.  They are going to look neat.

Just before dinner Dan and I took his dogs to the Sportsman's access to run.  They immediately flushed a covey that flew low over our heads.  I could have shot three with no effort at all.  We went home and watched the football game and ate chili.  Jeff came over and told us how successful his hunt was using Dan's friend's boat.

By the late evening Lucy was actually willing to stand up by herself without being asked.  She certainly didn't have to think about going to the dinner bowl.  She'll prbably be ready tomorrow, but tomorrow is Baker City day.
