Day 124

The dog had a better day than I did.  She got to be in bed with us this morning while we surfed.  After breakfast i went out to the garage and the well house.  I planned out how to wire some of the control panel.  I also planned out the rest of the control panel enclosure.  I wrote out a bill of materials.

It was a great day.  Sunny and in the low 80's.  So we took Lucy to Circle C.  We walked the long way to the creek (throwing the bumper on the way) and let

her swim.  A lady showed up with a large black dog.  It wouldn't swim, but it would try to take the bumper away from Lucy when she came out of the water.  I ended up really wet from the black dog jumping all over me.

A while later a gray dog about Lucy's size showed up.  It and the black dog were running around and acting kind of aggressive.  So I called it quits and we walked back, throwing the bumper again.  Halfway back we stopped and I threw a lot of retrieves for Lucy.  By the time we got back to the car Lucy was pretty tired.

We stopped by the post office and then went to Culver's for lunch.  That way we could sit outside with Lucy.  She had some chicken strips while we had hamburgers.  The final stop was Lowe's where I bought the wood for the enclosure.

When we got home I went out to the garage and cut the pieces for the enclosure.  It involved, the miter saw, router, and jig saw.  Just as I finished I realized that I'd screwed up one of the side pieces.  I'll have to go buy more wood.

The trouble wasn't over.  When Ellen tried to cook dinner she discovered that the Traeger wouldn't light.  That means I'll have to replace the lighting rod.  I remember that that is kind of a pain in the ass job.

The evening was reading and TV.
