We went to Capitol today. It was a little cool in the morning, but by noon it had warmed up considerably. After we had shot a couple of stations a guy drove up and asked to join us. Of course we said yes. He was a pretty good shot. He had a Model 21 that was built the year I was born. After we were finished he let me shoot it. I actually hit a few targets with it. It was nice.
I didn't throw the bumper for Lucy when we were done. She got to run around the whole course and I thought that was enough. We went to the hamburger place for lunch. Only it wasn't a hamburger place any more. It's now a Mexican restaurant. They fixed the place up a little - new paint and furniture. The food was OK, but it was American Mexican. That was surprising since all the signs in the place were in Spanish.
It was pleasant, in the low 70's, when we got home. So I went out to the garage and started to do pin striping on the control panel. I did all of the mainline except for one small piece where I hadn't painted the panel correctly. So I painted it and then quit. I'll mask some places and do more tomorrow.
I met Lee when I went out to get the mail. We talked for awhile. Hopefully we'll be able to go to Capitol next weekend.
The evening was TV, reading, and surfing.
