Day 133

Today was another one of those days when it seemed better to just stay in bed and surf than to get up and surf.  So we did.  It was sunny and pretty warm today (mid-60's), so when we did get up I went out to the garage.  I did all of the masking for the last two colors on the control panel.  I took quite awhile because I had to do the pin striping for the black (the turntable), mask around it, and then remove the pin striping.  That's because I don't want any black over spray.  I'm pretty sure it would show through the top coat.  I left the paint cans out in the sun to warm up.

Then we went to the post office.  It was a great day for a walk, so we went to Circle C and took the long way to the creek.  I threw the bumper for Lucy.  Things were going well until we got to the corner.  I had a rock in my shoe, so I sat on the concrete blocks to empty it.  Lucy took off towards the water.  She wouldn't stop when I called.  I had to walk all the way to the water, where she was standing in it with the bumper waiting for me.

I grabbed he collar and she got to walk about 100 feet on two legs.  Then I gave the bumper to Ellen and Lucy did a heal all the way home.  We had planned on taking her to Tomlinson's and then lunch at the Italian place.  Instead I drove by Tomlinson's (to make sure she knew we were there), and then locked her in the car while we had lunch.

After lunch we bought a few things at HEB and went home.  I used the warm paint cans to put on the last two colors.  Now I have to decide if I should use gray as a primer before putting on the final cover.  I'll have to do a test of gray on yellow first.  Earlier it hadn't worked well.

While I was getting the mail I met the lady that moved into Beav's house.  She seemed nice.  Apparently they won't be living there fulltime until March.

The evening was almost all reading.  I finished several magazines.
