It was 34 degrees and raining this morning. That provided very little incentive to get out of bed. So we had the dog come to bed and stayed there until almost 11. After breakfast I decided we had to do something. So I decided to go to Red's in Pflugerville. I had to get the scraper out of the truck and scrape the ice off the car before we could go.
We stopped at Fry's on the way up. I bought a couple of things for wiring the railroad. When we got to Red's they were packed. They didn't have anything I wanted to get, though.
On the way back we stopped at a hamburger place for lunch. The hamburgers cost $5.50, but they were worth it. When we got back we stopped at the post office, that's all. The temp had made it all the way up to 35.
I decided to try wiring some of the block switches because there wasn't anything else I could do because of the weather and the paint situation. Before that I tried the meter I bought for $3 yesterday. It didn't work. I debugged it to BOTH probes being broken. So I took them apart and fixed them Then I did a couple of the switches, and then decided to bag it.
That was it for the day.
