We got up at 8 today. We expected Melissa to come over fairly early to fix breakfast. We did the pet stuff, but didn't have breakfast. It turned out that they had gone out to do grocery shopping and get parts for Isaac's car. They didn't get back until 11. Then Melissa fixed breakfast - waffles and sausage. It was good.
After breakfast we went to the gardens at Zilker. It turns out that they allow dogs - something they didn't do a few years ago when we went there. So Lucy got to walk around with us. The place is quite large. The dinosaur and Japanese sections were really nice. The rest was less interesting because it's winter and nothing is in bloom and all the deciduous trees are bare. It was really cool overall.
We stopped at Trader Joe's on the way home for wine and a few groceries.
When we got home I cleared the garage so John could work. He did a little prep work. Then we surfed for awhile while Ellen and Melissa sewed. About 3 I started watching football and Melissa started dinner. She fixed two types of pasta, sausage, and salad.
Isaac and his girlfriend came a little after 4. John jacked up his car and determined that the brakes really didn't need work. It still took awhile to inspect them.
They all came in the house when they were done and we talked for awhile and then had dinner. Football was on, but we didn't really pay much attention.
When dinner was over we talked for awhile and then Isaac and girlfriend left. The rest of us cleaned up. Then Melissa went to the apartment. John stayed and surfed for awhile and then left, too.
The rest of the evening was surfing.
