We got up about 8:30, had breakfast and did the pet stuff. Then we surfed until John and Melissa came over at 10. They worked with Ellen to put up the tile in the master bath. I felt like a fifth wheel. There was nothing for me to do.
It turned out that we had bought the wrong size tile spacers yesterday. Melissa had been using toothpicks. I was a little pissed, since I could have easily gone out and got the right ones. When I found out about it I went to ACE to get the right size. They didn't have them, so I ended up at Home Depot in Dripping Springs.
That was the sum total of my contributions today. I basically surfed while they worked. It took them until about 2 to finish. Then we loaded up some stuff from the play house into their van and they drove up to take it to Isaac. While they were gone I put all of the tools away.
After that it was more surfing. John and Melissa bought steak for dinner. By the time it was cooked it was after 7. It was a good meal though. We talked while it was cooking and afterwards. They are going to start us off with the grout tomorrow and then leave for Dallas. I'm really sad to see them go, but John is really worried about the affect of the cold on their house.
After dinner Melissa went back to the apartment. John and I watched car shows. It's not going to be as much fun here with them gone.
