Day 921

We got up at 7 today and were on the road by 7:53.  It was a typical travel day, rain at times and several construction zones.  The main difference was it's I84, so at times the trucks were a pain in the ass.  We averaged just under 66 MPH for the first two hours.  Gas mileage was really good - 13.4, 13.2, and 12.8.  Boise was a breeze, but Nampa was a pain in the ass due to construction.

We gained an hour due to the timezone change, but we've decided to live on Mountain time until we get to Salem.  That will make us an hour earlier getting into Portland on Tuesday.  We stopped in Baker to fuel up and go to the grocery store.  Then it was on to Richland to park and seee Dan and Patsy.

Dan was out washing cars.  We talked for quite awhile and he showed us his newest toy, a Can Am side by side.  Then we went to one of his neighbors to see if we could fix her swimming pool pump.  The best I could do is suggest to her that the motor capacitor was fried.   She ordered one from Walmart for $15.

Then we went to the boat dock.  The people working there are Filipino.  They fixed Dan 30 spring rolls for dinner.  Dan dropped me off on the way home and I picked up the Bronco.  It runs amazingly well now.

I went back to Dan's for dinner.  There were another couple and the swimming pool lady there, too.  We had a great dinner with the spring rolls and roast pork that Patsy fixed.  There was much talking and story telling.

We talked with Dan and Patsy a little bit more after their guests left.  Then we went back to the trailer to water the cat and go to bed.
