We got up at 6:30 today, did the pet stuff and had breakfast. Then we left to do the wash. We would have been done fairly early, but Ellen forgot to wash one sheet. She didn't determine that until the wash was done. That cost us 45 minutes.
When we finally got done we went to Cabela's. We got Ellen her new fishing pole. We walked around, but didn't buy anything else. There just isn't anything there I want right now.
We went back home and had lunch. Then we left for Lowe's and Power Mazda. I returned the saw I bought at Lowe's. Then it was on to Mazda.
Of course they hadn't found a car in the color we wanted. We took a test drive in the one they had. It's a nice car, but I really like the Audi more. We went through the whole car negotiation process. They didn't give us a very good price - it was about $2K more than it should have been. We told them they had to find the right color. Neither of us wanted to over pay for a car that we'd compromised on.
We were there for almost 3 hours. We left with them trying to contact the last place that might have one. What the whole experience taught me was that I really wanted the Audi even though it was $16K more. I called and they still have it. I was happy when Power called and said the last place had sold their car.
Tomorrow we'll go see Tom for the last time. Then we'll go to Audi and see if we can buy there car. The only sticking point will be how much they give us for the trade in.
Ellen fixed one of the Fred Meyer dinners in a box for dinner. It was meat loaf and was pretty good. After dinner I watched the Dodgers. They won.
