We woke up at 7:10 and did some surfing. Then we did the pet stuff and had breakfast. About 9 I decided to try to put the stand on the old trailer TV. It didn't work - wrong stand. I saw Vandy in the garage and asked if she wanted it. She did, so I gave it to her.
After that we went to Portland to see Tom. He's closing his store in a week. It was pretty picked over, but we did find some earrings and a couple of pendants - $4K worth of stuff. We had a good talk. He may start up a small studio in his home. We told him to get in touch with us if he wants to do something for us.
We had parked close to the pet store. Of course Lucy wanted to go in, so we did. We ended up buying a cool enclosed cat box that I think will come in useful when we get the kitten. We also got some doggy treats.
After that we went to McMinnville for their farmer's market. The drive through Tigard, Sherwood, and Newberg was a real pain in the ass. I knew it would be though.
The market itself was fun. We bought the components of lunch from three places - gyros, lemonade, and pastries. We also bought three pints of Oregon strawberries. After that we walked around downtown. We didn't buy anything, but we did stop at a bar for a beer and a root beer (we sat outside).
We went home about 3. We took the ferry on the way back. I like that thing.
When we got home we went over to the club for some conversation. Then it was home for dinner. Ellen fixed another dinner in a box. Then she went to Woodburn for a board meeting. Apparently the board isn't happy with Dave and Vandy.
I took a walk and took care of the pets. The rest of the evening was reading and TV.
