I woke up a little before 7:30 and laid in bed until the alarm went off. then it was up for pet stuff, breakfast, hitching up, and leaving. We were on the road at 8:30.
The trip was 289 miles, all on an interstate. There were several rough sections on the road, but only two very short construction zones. We would have made it without a stop except for a really strong headwind for half the way. Over all we averaged a little over 9 mpg. Did I mention the headwind was vicious. I ended up stopping for fuel at a really expensive station, $3.45. The upside was it was a super easy place to get in and out of. The convenience was worth the 6 extra bucks the fuel cost.
We got to Buffalo about 1:30. We unhooked and immediately left for town. It's an interesting old, small town. The downtown is 2 blocks long and filled with tourist shops. We went through a lot of them. We had nice talks with several of the shop keepers. On the way back we bought more Blue DEF. We've been going through a box a day or so. The ash level actually decreased today. I think that's because the truck was working pretty hard most of the time due to the wind.
We got home about 5:30. We fed the cats and then went to a restaurant next to the park. It was really good.
When we got back I watched videos and Ellen watched TV. I also did a little research on the bighorn battle for tomorrow.
