We got up about 8:30, did the pet stuff and had breakfast. Then it was a lot of surfing until lunch time (a sandwich).
After lunch we went to Dan and Patsy's. We talked for a couple of hours. Then Patsy's son showed up with his two sons. Dan was in great spirits talking with his grandchildren. He gave them a couple of nice guns and fitted them with shotguns for the hunt on Saturday.
The talk and show and tell went on until time to run the dogs. Dan took his crew in the Ford. We followed in the Bronco. We went down Snake River Road to the river. Halfway down we stopped and let Sugar out. She flushed a covey of quail. The drive down was no fun for me. Dan was driving really slow. I couldn't use my brakes all the time, so I ended up going down in first. The highlight of the trip was three sheep. Two were rams.
We spent a little time at a boat launch on the river and then went back up. That drive was OK until we got to the top. Of course we're going down the same amount we went up, the road is just better. Dan was still driving slow and riding his brakes Back to first gear. A mile before the pavement an old pickup pulled up behind us. He couldn't pass until the pavement. He wasn't happy.
We left Dan at that point and went home for leftovers. Adfter that was surfing and games.
