We woke up at 7:30. There was no reason to, but the weather woke us up. The weather was nasty all night. There were high winds that shook the trailer. It was also cold, with some snow. When we woke up we stayed in bed for over an hour. There was no reason to get up.
When we did get up it was for breakfast and pet stuff. After that was a little surfing. About 10 we decided to get ready to leave. The process was miserable. It was still cold and the wind was so strong that the guy next to me was considering not leaving. At least it had warmed up enough (40) to melt the snow. The water hose was too cold to roll up. I just stuffed it in the basement. I planned on throwing it away anyway. It was so cold that I had to stop halfway through and go back inside to warm up my hands.
We hooked up and hit the road. The wind was bad at first, but it was a tail wind. It died down a lot over the first 20 miles.
The drive itself was OK except for the usual games I have to play with trucks. There was a fair amount of traffic. Any way you cut it 100 miles of fairly crowded urban freeway is a grind.
We got to the park about 12:30. We got a little over 12 MPG. Of course there was no gas stop. It was raining when we got there, so we got to set up in the rain. After that we did the laundry. Ellen was pissed because the dryers took $4 to dry our clothes.
While Ellen was doing the clothes I did repairs. I had to put a lock washer on the clamp I'd put on the drinking hose reel. Then I had to replace the screws with bolts holding the TV cable hook up. That was a pain in the ass. I had to remove part of the basement wall. It didn't help that the basement is full, so I had to lean in rather than crawl into it.
It was cold and rained off and on for the rest of the day. We watched TV and surfed. Dinner was frozen stuff.
