Day 2152

We woke up at 7:30, but stayed in bed to play games.  We eventually got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that it was surfing.  We only needed an hour an a half to get to Las Vegas.  That meant we couldn't leave until almost noon.  We hooked up and left at 11:45.

The trip down to Las Vegas was uneventful except for one thing.  The truck was getting very close to a regen.  By the time we got off the freeway in Las Vegas the soot percentage was 100%.  Ellen did her usual stellar job of navigating, telling me to take the wrong turn.  That put me on a busy 8 lane street with no place to turn around.  I drove about a mile and fortunately found a gas station to turn around in.

By then the regen had started.  That meant back on the freeway.  We continued south.  We had to be careful. We couldn't go more than 20 miles or we'd be in California.  The truck was still doing a regen when I took the last exit.  Unfortunately I had to stop at the stop sign at the end of the exit.  That caused the regen to stop at 24% soot.

We drove back north to Las Vegas and the park.  We checked in.  We'd paid $5 extra a night for a site "upgrade".  They gave us a sight on a corner.  It wasn't possible to get into it without driving the wrong way down an adjacent row.  When we parked we found that a big electrical box blocked where we wanted to put the door.  The site itself is shorted than the adjacent ones and barely fits the truck and trailer.  On the plus side it just across the street from the showers and laundry.

We unhooked and set up.  I also connected the sewer hose because I need to dump the tanks before we leave.  The first three days after we leave will all be 300+ mile days.  It was almost 3 when we finished.  We went to the park's cafe for lunch.  It was good and not too expensive.  I had 2 mojitos.  They were really good.

After that we went back to the trailer.  I fell asleep surfing.  Ellen watched TV.  We didn't have dinner, just some snacks.

I did look into shooting some automatic weapons tomorrow.  The online signup is a little confusing, so I'll call the tomorrow.
