We got up at 8, did pet stuff and had breakfast. I continued doing some little things that needed to be done. I went to the small trailer and put away some of the things that I'd just been piling up on the bed. I also packed some stuff in the basement. That's when I noticed that we still had the old broken Directv receiver there.
Ellen was supposed to contact them about that months ago, but she never did. I called them and after some time on hold got connected to someone in India. I told the story to the lady and she looked up the receiver. She told mel that they didn't want it back and to throw it away. So I did. That freed up some space in the basement and reduced some weight.
After that I ran out of things to do. It was getting hot, so we spent most of the rest of the day surfing and watching TV (football). About 4 we went to the club just to do something. They were busy with a new employee, so we just surfed there, too. Eventually we went back to the trailer for dinner.
After dinner I took the dog around the course. By then daylight was dimming, so I got out the laser bore sight for Ellen's rifle. It turned out that the sight was maybe a foot left and 6 feet high at 50 yds. We had no chance of zeroing it at Tri-county. It's now sighted in at about 30 yds, which should get it on paper.
I was going to go to Tri-county tomorrow to finish sighting it in, but that's Labor Day and it's going to be crowded. We'll probably shoot here instead.
The rest of the evening was surfing and football.
