We got up at 8 for pet stuff and breakfast. After that I went out to the apartment and started to work on the bed. I put corner braces on all four corners. Each brace needed 3 holes to be drilled in the frame. It took forever. The frame was made out of really hard steel. I dulled one bit, broke 2, and even killed one of the $20 bits. The other one saved my ass. It still worked. The whole thing took hours.
The gravel truck came just as I was finishing about noon. I guess that's still "late morning". They dumped the gravel and then I went in for lunch. After lunch I started on the new bed.
It took two hours to bring the pieces in, take apart the old bed, assemble the new bed, take out the garbage, and put the old bed in the truck. I decided to wait until tomorrow to take the old bed to Goodwill. It was about time for Ellen to go to Dripping Springs anyway.
I spent the rest of the evening surfing and watching TV. I'm not sure if I'll haul gravel tomorrow or not. I'd like to get it finished, but I'm tired.
