I got up at 4:30 and took Hooch to the airport. It was a quick trip. I got him there before 5:15 and was back home a little after 5:30. I took my clothes off and went back to sleep.
I woke up again about 8:30. I got up, did the pet stuff, and had breakfast. Then I went out to the garage to get started on the fallen trees. I put oil in the chainsaw and pole saw and warmed up the Ranger. Then I started work on the mess in the front yard.
I did most of the cutting with the pole saw. Ellen did some with the other saw. For a while she was cutting while I loaded and drove the stuff to the back. Eventually we got down to nothing but the big limbs the couldn't be cut with the pole saw. I got out the chain saw and made short work of them. Then I went over and partially cut apart the fallen tree by the well head. The chainsaw made quick work of that, too.
It took until a little after two to get all of it done. Now the front yard is cleared and the flamingos are back in place. It looks like we should be able to clear the area by the well head tomorrow. It will take a lot of work though.
We went inside. I was too tired to do anything except sit in front of the computer. I ordered a small coffee pot for Hooch. Ellen ordered a pink bed for the dog.
Eventually I recovered enough to get leftovers for lunch and take a shower. I felt a lot better after that.
The rest of the afternoon and evening was spent watching videos and surfing. I didn't have dinner because of the late lunch. Instead I had a snack.
It looks like I'll have to complete the backyard fence for the dog. That will mean building a gate, putting up some chain link, and putting up some "chicken wire" to plug holes below the fence. That will be some work, so I want to get the tree stuff out of the way ASAP. It should be done by Wednesday.
