I did a little Minions when the alarm went off, and then went back to sleep. I slept until about 8:30 and then got up. After the pet stuff and breakfast there was a little more Minions/surfing.
Yesterday proved that the gate was toast. So we went to Tractor supply and bought another one. We also stopped at Home Depot where I got a new box for the gate and we looked at some possible window shades. They are really expensive. Then we took the dog to the soccer field. It wasn't a really hot day, but she didn't want to run. She only did about 7 retrieves.
We stopped for lunch at the bakery place. We had their peach cobbler. It wasn't as good as their peach pie.
It was over 90 when we got home, too hot to do the gate. Instead I read over the instructions. Basically it's tear out everything except the brackets. I also spent a lot of time looking for parts on Amazon. I'm going to install an external plug in, and a surge protector, in the new box.
That was it for most of the rest of the day. After dinner I took out the garbage and happened to meet Lee. We had a good talk. It turns out he would like the old opener. I'm going to give it to him.
The evening was watching remodeling shows and a movie.
