I woke up with the alarm and couldn't turn over and go back to sleep. So I surfed and played Minions for about an hour. Then it was get up, do pet stuff, and have breakfast.
After breakfast I took care of the screens that had been sitting on the deck since the windows were replaced. I'd left them there so that they would bug me until I dealt with the. I was able to replace two really beat up screens with the ones from the old windows. Then I placed the rest in the apartment.
After a little more surfing we left to go to the post office. Lucy ad been bugging us for awhile to go somewhere. I was pissed that Amazon had said the surge protector I needed for the gate was out of stock. It turned out OK though, because Lowe's had them on sale. The other pieces I needed were at the post office. We stopped at Lowe's for the protector, HEB for some milk, and Circle C to run the dog. She did 11 retrieves, which wasn't bad with the temp in the low 90's.
When we got home I had left over pizza for lunch. That place does make good pizza. Then I took the parts to the garage to build up the box. The build wasn't hard, but it took some time. I put in a strain relief for the 110V input wire and the 18V output wire. I climbed around the apartment attic to a box with old romex in it so I had wire for the box. I had to cut a hole in the side of the box and then install and wire the outside receptacle. Then I had to go out to the gate, measure the mounting bolts, and then drill mounting holes in the box. Finally I mounted and wired the surge protector. It looks pretty good.
After that I did a little surfing and then had dinner.
After dinner it was Minions and football.
