Day 369

I got up with the alarm today.  I spent about half an hour on Minions and then got up.  The pet stuff and breakfast followed.  I checked to make sure that update was now working.  It is.  That's a relief.

I went outside to continue work on the shelter.  I cut the reinforcing pieces for the door and glued them on the door.  Then I started doing the trim.  I had originally planned on using the 2" stuff for the roof trim.  I decided to use the 4" stuff instead.  I got the roof trim done and one of the corners.  Then I ran out of material.  I figured I had to buy two more 12' boards (the only size they come in).  I'm only going to use 29" of the second board.

I didn't want to quit, so I started to install the flashing.  In a fit of stupidity I'd only bought one piece, even though my shopping list had said buy two.  That meant I could only do two sides of the roof.  It looks nice though.  That was it.  I was out of material.  I did look for paint.  I found the trim paint I used when I replaced the boards on the well house.  I can probably still used it.  I also foudn a partial gallon of the wall paint.  It's dated 2009.  I'm not sure that will be usable.

It was 11:30 when I got finished.  I went inside, took a shower, and had lunch.

After lunch we locked away the pets, including Lucy.  The first stop was the post office.  They lost another package.  It had about $20 worth of stuff.  Crap.

Then we stopped at the haircut place.  I actually like the haircut I got.  The next stop was Lowe's for the boards and flashing.  The last stop was Costco for water.  They already have all of their Christmas stuff out, two weeks before Halloween.

We got home at 3.  I would have gone out to do more work, but the mosquitoes would have eaten me alive.  Instead I surfed. 

After dinner I watched a Jackie Chan movie that I taped when HBO had a free weekend.  I also played a little more Minions.
