Day 1667

I got up at 8 today, had breakfast and did the pet stuff.

Today was a final preparations day.  I got all the rest of the stuff that we are taking ready.  Moving stuff the last few days made that a little easier.  Ellen took the rest of the food over.  I helped.  The new storage I created by replacing the fireplace helped.  We actually have a fair amount of space left in the pantry.

I did run into a snag when I moved the plants.  I'd forgotten that the doors on the cat shield had to change.  I changed them.  I also added a knob to both doors to make it easier to water the plants.  That took a while.

When that was finished I did a little surfing and we had lunch.  For once it was sandwiches rather than leftovers.  Then we left for the post office.  We got the mail there.  It should be the last of it.

While we were in the truck I noticed that the position I'd put the trailer tire pressure monitor in wouldn't work.  The gear shift blocks the view when the truck is in drive.  So when I got home I moved it.  That was a pain because getting the old adhesive off the mount wasn't easy.  The fact that it was the mid 90's didn't help.

I filled the time until dinner with reading and some TV.  I took Lucy to the mailbox.  She was pretty spritely.  She even ran part of the way.

Ellen fixed ham and pancakes for dinner.  The ham was a little long in the tooth.  I hope it doesn't make us sick.  After dinner we watched TV for a while.  Then I took the chargers and DirectTV box to the trailer.  I hooked them up.  I also took the rest of the pet treats.  I left the pet food, because I think we'll feed them breakfast tomorrow.

The rest of the evening was surfing and reading.
