Day 1679

We got up about 8:45.  After breakfast we packed up to leave.  We had a little trouble hitching up.  It took awhile to get the trailer height just right.

The first 50 miles of the trip sucked.  It was raining heavily and traffic was really bad.  Nothing like doing 65 with two car lengths of separation and cars beside me, too.

After that things got a lot better.  The only other problem was the road itself.  Continually going up hils to go back down them.  We only got 9.3 overall.

We stopped at Albertson's in Baker.  We bought Chinese dinners for us and Dan and Patsy (it's really a Safeway).  Then we drove to Richland and set up.  When we were finished I hooked a battery charger to the Bronco.

We went over to Dan and Patsy's and talked the afternoon and evening away.  We left about 8 (9 our time) to feed the animals.  The rest of the evening was surfing.
