Day 1668

I woke up about 7:30, got up and did the pet stuff and had breakfast.  Then it was time to prep the trailer.

I moved a few final things into the trailer.  Then I retracted the slides.  That allowed me to remove the tire covers, check the lugnuts and check the tire pressure.  Everything was fine.  I locked up the garage and turned off the pump and water softener.

Hooking up the trailer wasn't too bad.  I did  raise the trailer a little took far to hook up the first time.  After that it was easy.

Getting out of the place went pretty well.  There were a couple of trees that I should have cut farther back.  We also had to move some boundary rocks.

We stopped at the oil change place to get the safety certificate.  They told me that the license office was closed due to the flu.  They said try HEB.  HEB couldn't do it because we didn't have the renewal letter.  I told Ellen to file it, she said she couldn't find it.

The trip to Fredericksburg was uneventful.  The new truck pulls the trailer fine.  I think the transmission is programmed to keep the truck in the highest gear possible, which keeps the load on the engine high.

We parked the trailer.  The spot is one of the few we've ever been in that is completely level.  Unhooking was a breeze except for me having to remember how to do things.  To top things off the new bathroom fixtures I put in don't leak.

We went into town.  We cashed a couple of checks and walked around for a while.  We ate lunch at a Mexican place.

When we got home we watched old westerns on TV and read.  That pretty much filled up the rest of the evening.
