Day 1673

We got up at 7.  I had breakfast and then we packed up the trailer.  I thought there might be an issue leaving the campsite because it was pretty tight.  It turned out to be OK.

As we left Flagstaff Ellen said that 89 was closed south of Page and we had to take a detour.  Long story short - it was closed in 2013 and at that time they used a secondary highway as a detour.  It did cause me about half an hour of "oh shit".

The truck did a magnificent job of hauling the trailer up the cliff face south of Page.  We ended up with 10.3 mpg for the day.

The rest of the trip was OK except for some construction south of Kanab.  It caused about a 10 minute delay.  That resulted in a mile long string of traffic.  That meant that we did 55 instead of 65 all the way to Kanab.

We got to the RV park a little after 2.  It's brand new and really nice.  After getting everything set up I wanted to go to an RV store.  Ellen's asshole problems put a stop to that.  We ended up just sitting in the trailer reading and surfing.  There was no going outside.  The temp was 107.  The dual AC's did a good job though.

Ellen fixed hamburgers for dinner.  After dinner we went to Wally World for milk.  When we got back home the rest of the evening was TV, surfing, and games.  I went to bed early because I was really tired.  I'm glad tomorrow isn't a travel day.
