I woke up about 8 and played games for about 45 minutes. Then it was time to get up for breakfast. After breakfast it was a little bit of video time before going to the eye doctor.
The visit took two hours. Half of that was just waiting around. Apparently my lenses have the same problem as Ellen's - cells growing on them. I made an appointment to get them fixed in November. The GMC dealer called while we were driving to the doctor. That was good timing - we continued up to the dealership to pick up the MAP sensor.
We stopped at Rudy's on the way back from the dealership. It's just down the block. We got stopped in a short traffic jam on the way home. Some asshole was hauling a mattress in his pickup truck. He hadn't tied it down and it flew out on the road. All lanes were stopped while they cleaned up the mess.
The last stop was the post office. When we got home the Bob called. He wanted to brag about his new car - a 2014 AMG Mercedes. I've been bugging him about replacing his 25 year old BMW for years.
I played video games until Ellen left for Hog Heaven. Some parts had come from Amazon. I went out to the trailer and garage. I installed some magnetic strips in the trailer. The I went to the garage and fabricated the brackets for the bicycle rack reinforcement. I drilled the holes in a pair of angle brackets out larger. Then I shortened one of the ends on both.
I'll need to buy threaded rods and bolts to finish the project. Maybe tomorrow.
I took a shower after that because it was 87 degrees and humid. Ellen fixed sloppy joes for dinner. After dinner she watched chick flicks and I watched videos.
