Day 1968

I woke up about 8 and played games for a while.  Then it was get up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After breakfast Ellen and I went out to do today's activities.

The first thing we did was a full dress rehearsal of loading the bikes.  We put the bikes on the rack, tied them down, and put the cover over them.  I added one more ratchet strap to one end of the rack.  I think it's ready to go.

When that was done I worked on attaching the camera to the ladder while Ellen worked on getting it to work.  We were both successful.  I used some bolts and mending plates to mount the camera.  Ellen got the new MiFi to talk to both the camera and her phone in the truck.  I think that's ready for the road, too.

By then it was after 1 and lunch time.  I ate the last of the Rudy's.  After lunch I did a little surfing.  Then we left to go to Costco.  We bought water, food, and drugs for the road.  We were both thirsty, so on the way home we stopped for shave ice.  We got there just as they opened.  By the time we finished our shave ice there was a line.

The new sewer connection was at the gate, so I put it on the trailer - a two minute job.  It looks heavy duty.  I hope it works as well as YouTube says it does.  I also put together a new windmill we got at Costco.

Cooper got out when I opened the back door to pick up tools.  I'd kicked him out of the way, but he managed to zoom out.  Luckily he didn't go far and seemed to want to go back inside once we chased him down.  It's the first time he's escaped in a long time.

I was really hot and sweaty, so I took a shower.  After that Ellen fixed a chicken dinner that we'd bought at Costco.

After dinner was videos.
