I woke up about 8. It was cold, in the 40's, and the wind was blowing hard. Perfect weather for staying in bed and playing games. After a while it was get up to do pet stuff and have breakfast. There was no point in going to practice, so we went out to do errands instead.
The first stop was Petco for cat food. We now have a two week supply. There was a Best Buy next door. They turned out to have the exact dash cam I wanted, so I bought one. We installed it in the parking lot before we left. We also needed some groceries, so we stopped at HEB on the way back. It was almost noon, so we got sandwiches at Fireman's and took them home.
We ate lunch and then I got everything out. We loaded up the truck and went to the club. We both shot about 50 rounds. I shot like I expected. Pretty good when the floaters weren't there and sucky when they were. Ellen shot pretty well.
After that we went shopping/fill in the vendor signup sheet. I bought three Briley chokes for my 20 gauge. I hate the no slot factory tubes. I had a hard time removing them before we left. Ellen bought some Pilla glasses. She wanted no post wrap around glasses like I have. They are great once you aren't wearing glasses regularly any more.
We also stopped by a place that has some cool gun cleaning stuff. We'll probably buy some of it tomorrow. By the time we were finished we only need one more sign in before we have fully signed entries. We'll get that tomorrow.
After that we made a short stop at HEB for drinks and dinner stuff. I got a salad and Ellen got a fruit dish. We got home about 6. The cats were hungry.
After dinner I got out Ellen's 20 ga. It's choke tubes were stuck, too. I managed to get one off with the factory stuck tube remover. I couldn't move the other. I finally had to pound the wrench into the choke and use a lever on the wrench to get the tube out. That left me with a wrench stuck in the tube. It took quite awhile, a lot of effort, and some tools to get it out. It turns out that the tube had rusted in the barrel.
The only cleaning stuff I had was a little oil, two Blu sample cloths, and a small bottle of Seal. Ellen got the job of using this to clean the chokes and the ends of the barrels. I had to help her with the barrels. They were filthy. We finally got everything clean enough to use tomorrow. The gun cleaner guy promised to give it a complete bath after we shoot.
After that it was some videos and then to bed.
