Day 1966

I woke up about 8 and played games for a while before getting up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After breakfast we sat down to do trip planning.  It took the whole morning.

The trip plan was a little complex because we did want to hit some sporting clays places on days they were open.  We also wanted to see two new tourist spots - the Custer national monument and the dinosaur national monument.  Everything worked out well.  There's still a few free days at the end that can always be spent at Richland if necessary.

After lunch I went to see the cardiologist.  The news wasn't good.  My blood pressure was high, probably because I was agitated.  Anyway the doctor said that there is a possibility that the chest tightness is the result of high blood pressure and a partial blockage.  Not good.  He wanted an ultrasound and a stress test.  The problem is we leave in less than 10 days.

When I left I thought the doctor's office was going to make appointments and the imaging place would call me.  However, when I got home there was an email that said call the imaging place.  So I did  The problem was the phone number on the email was the wrong one.  Fortunately the person I got a hold of was great.  She looked me up and moved heaven and earth to get me appointments on Friday.

Friday is going to be fun.  The first appointment is at 7:30 AM.  Apparently it's short.  The second is at 12:30 PM.  It's several hours long.  To top things off I can't eat anything until after the second test is over.  Then I get to wait until probably Monday or Tuesday to see if I need an operation.

After I got off the phone with the scheduler I got two text messages from the imaging place asking me to confirm appointments for the 29th (the day we plan on leaving San Antonio).  I called the inaging place back, but they were closed until tomorrow.  More stress.  Then I checked my email and there were two messages asking me to confirm the Friday appointments.  Of course I did.  I'll have to try to sort things out tomorrow.

I did get the CMOS battery for the all-in-one.  I installed it and now the BIOS boots normally.  Unfortunately it reports that the main battery has failed.  I think I'll junk the computer.  I'll probably pull the drive and shit can it rather than giving it to Goodwill.

Ellen got the rear camera for the trailer working, but the signal from the tablet is weak to unusable.  We'll probably replace it with a puck tomorrow.

Dinner was a HEB salad.  The evening was spent on videos.
