We got up about 8, did pet stuff and breakfast. After a little surfing Ellen went to the club for a lesson. I stayed at home to work in the shed.
I cleaned up a little and then measured the length I needed for the bed props. That wasn't easy trying to hold up the bed and measure at the same time. Then I cut two lengths out of the bar, degreased them, and painted them. I went back into the trailer and that's when I found out that the lesson had been cancelled.
We packed up a suitcase, put out extra cat food, loaded up the car, and left. We stopped at Goodwill for a power cord, BiMart for storage boxes (they were sold out, but I got a rain check), and the bank to cash checks. Then it was up I5 to Cabela's. We had a 10% off everything coupon. They problem was, we didn't need anything.
We spent quite a bit of time looking around. There was absolutely no shooting related stuff I wanted/needed. We went over to clothing and neither Ellen or I could find anything we wanted. Then we went to shoes. I found a pair I liked - didn't have my size. I found another pair that did fit, so I bought it. Ellen also found a pair that she bought.
We ate lunch at Fireman's and then took the dog for a bath in Tigard. She was not amused.
We got to John and Patty's and settled in for a lot of talk and surfing. I ordered the shoes I saw at Cabela's on Amazon. We spent the rest of the day just talking, playing with the new puppy, and a little drinking. John did do a little work on his trailer with me supervising.
We ordered dinner from Nona Emilia's.
Lucy was out of sorts. She snapped at the new puppy and didn't want anything to do with it. She also just dragged her ass around.
